Another one of the many churches in Salzburg. The facade is not very impressive, not very adorned but the interior is more beautiful.Worth a 5-10 minutes visit.

In the late 1660s the Prince Archbishop commanded Ursuline Nuns to establish this church, in association with a school for girls. Lovely Baroque facades, one with the Saints Mark, Augustine and Ursula in the pediment, are to be seen.
With a continuation of the Baroque style within, it is a beautiful space. Sumptuous stucco is to be gazed at throughout. In the cupola an exquisite fresco shows St. Ursula triumphant in heaven.
A wonderful organ that we surmised issues great music is resplendent. Terrific wood carvings are to be admired on the pews and adjacent to the altar.
Its current use by the Ukrainian Community is evident by icons associated with the Eastern religion, including portrayals of the Pantocrator.

A walk out to see this Church is very intereting, this is a very old part of town , most of it built in the early 1400s so history runs deep here. The church has a lovely stone pulpit and a beautifully painted ceiling . It was built in 1699 to 1705 and seems like it has had a checkered life Go and have a look then walk along the houses that are built butting into the mountain.

Somewhat hidden from the crowd, this hidden gem of a church, near the Klaus Gate at the foot of the Mönchsberg, a masterpiece of baroque architecture. There had been another church, but this was destroid due to a rockfall, with a mere 165 casualties. It is given to the Ukrain religion, but the old interior still stands as well, which gives it a remarkable interior. We have visited this church in 2009, and will visit again in 2012, that's how great this place is!
