Great outdoor market to buy groceries, local specialties or have breakfast. I buy some delicious raspberries at a very good price. You shouldn't miss this place if you are visiting Klagenfurt.

Some stands are open all week, but you want to wait for Saturday (or a lesser degree Thursday) to see the full potential. Anything to eat or drink, lots of small cafes, but above all lots of food stands with fresh fruit, vegetables and sweets as well as smoked and fresh meat as well as fish and cheese. Thanks to the location on the Slovenian/Italian border you find stands from all three countries with their respective specialties.

Great choice of local and imported products, fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, cheeses, local farm products, jams, wine and what not. Nice place to have aperitif and buy souvenirs.

Once every week there is this market and worth to go there.
You find all kinds of food with a strong key competence in smoked meat and cheese, but also other veggies and fruits are plentiful.
Reasonable prices and a lot of choice plus chances for sample tests make it nice to go there.
Lunch can be considered as secured.
Parking is not so easy and the underground garage at the central place (Lindwurm) is hell of expensive.

I visited the market on a saturday morning. The market was crowded by locals buying vegetables and fruits from local producers. There are several butchers offering meat and meat products. you can buy genuine local street food. Overall very nice visit. Will do it again.

The market is small but has weird little coffee places: they are so kind of ugly but also loveable. At the marked you can drink freshly pressed juice -which is great for hangovers and they also offer food. It is something to consider visiting since it is very central!

This market on the Benediktinerplatz and the connecting Kaufmanngasse is held on Thursday morning and Saturday morning. This market offers a wide selection of fresh food, fruit and vegetables. It is interesting to note that the keyword "biological" is very popular with the merchants on this market. It is interesting to stroll past the stalls and marvel at the wide selection of produce.
