Located at the top of the hill, you can walk by stairs to it, or take a lift directly which is fairly priced.
Amazing views from the top with better air.
Great place to relax.

The stairs are not difficult and the small forest you walk through is very pretty in the fall. There is a small garden where you can go before getting to the top it is also worth a stop to look over the city and enjoy the planting arrangements. The clock tower was not open yet since we went early in the morning before breakfast. Stop and look out over all the red roof tops and note the contrasts between old and new.

We went here almost as soon as we arrived in Graz and it made us feel 'grounded' in our new city. The ability to see everything, get a lay of the land, made us feel a little like we already knew our way around. Plus the view is beautiful as are the gardens and the woods.

Take the stairs and enjoy the different views all the way up. Once at the top the views are great and plenty of seats to relax and take it all in, even if its cold.

Perfect view of the city centre. Must see it. Stories and details described on the info boards. When tired you can stop and rest in the restaurants. The only condition is good weather :-)

We went up by lift and the view was really nice. It was very nice to look around and took some great photos!

Taking the stairs is great for those who are able. There is a very inexpensive lift inside a cave near the stairs. Either way, when you exit, you still have a long uphill climb to access the top ovservation areas. The funicular is a different way to assent and goes to the top. It is also beside the excavations which are being transferred into a theatre area... it is possibly the best thing to see. Do NOT walk to the original clock tower to see the clock.. it is relocated to the smaller tower & visible from the ground. The original clock tower is empty and locked... there is nothing to see. The views are pleasant, with boards to explain what you are seeing. It is not an exciting view. There is also a sweet gazebo and an outpost with a lion sculpture at top. A bunker with cannons can be found part way down. This is a nice way to spend a beautiful summer day. There are plenty of trees for picnics and relaxing, some benches. This is NOT a great place on a rainy day.
