old castle

the main sight of steyr, a beautiful old castle that has been lovingly restored. in the courtyard there are famous statues of little men with traditional costumes and jobs. they also keep alpine ibexes (capricorns?) at the castle and you can see them chilling in the sun or jumping around. in the summer they always have theater and musical festivals at the castle.
when you walk down from the castle you get a beautiful view of the 2 rivers crossing and the michaela church.

Worth the climb

The Schloss is now used by the police but the courtyard is lovely and one can wander around and cross the moat to the Park. The views are superb and we were glad we climbed up to view the rivers and the town. The Schlossgalerie was closed by the time we got there

A nice garden inside the castle

I wanted to visit the castle but I found that it is nothing to visit, the castle is for events, also you can find here the Police, but they have a nice garden, and you can walk near the castle and enjoy the view.

Lamberg Castle is located in the town of Steyr in Upper Austria, in the hills above the river mouth of the river Enns Steyr. The town was founded in the 10th century in the written sources is mentioned as the property of the Counts of Otokar. Today named after Count Lamberg, the ownership of which becomes 1666. god.
