Interestimng exhinbits but no explanations

Adalbert Stifter is supposed to be an Austrian writer and from the exhibits also a painter. The museum of literature is located in a former flat on the second floor of the building and exhibits are located in the bedroom, dining room, working room and living room. The building was built when there were no bathrooms and one communal toilet on the landing for all 3 flats. Exhibits were arranged in show cases with numbers beside them but there was no catalogue and no one spoke any English. There is no entry charge to the museum the whole year round and the museum can be reached via an antiquated lift or by the stairs.
