Fantastib building

The collection is quite simple but the building worth looking. There is an interesting Schiele inside, with 2 Warhols and contemporary Austrian artists.

I wanted to go here because I read it had a Klimpt work . Well, the Klimpt work was not a painting, just a small sketch used as a study. Other than that the only works of anyone well known were a couple Andy Warhol paintings. The rest was a bizarre, and I mean bizarre mix of modern paintings and... More

Nice building and looks very inviting. My husband purchased tickets and he misplaced the tickets in one of his pockets. Our fault of course but here is the kicker. I only saw 2 other people in the building the whole time we were there. There were 2 ladies who were selling tickets. We went down to the basement and walked... More

This was my first visit to the "new" Lentos museum. I really liked how the (recently updated) permanent collection is curated. Great building with good views of the Danube and Pöstlingberg, nice museum store and overall really inviting and inspiring space. With its location by the river, it reminds me a bit of the Tate Modern in London. The nearby... More

Have visited here many times, to have lunch, to take in an art exhibit and share an evening with friends. It is a lovely place so well maintained and truly alive with the art of the area and Eruope - love it!

Lentos Art Museum houses some incredible modern art and often most interesting exhibitions. It is a beautiful building that changes color when it gets dark. The locations is very beautiful.

The museum is a lot smaller than it seems from the outside. A LOT. The temporary exhibition left me cold, and quite frankly, I didn't understand what the guard was protecting there (seriously, you could not have ruined it). The rest was a bit more interesting. Still, not my favorite museum of its kind, but there is a lot of... More

Doesn't have a single painting worth going out of your way for. Has a few paintings by big name artists, but not their best stuff at all. The building is large and felt empty as they don't have that many pieces of art. The only cool thing about the place is the way they light it up at night.

Not for the faint hearted. It is a small collection with a handful of stand out pieces, and a number which do challenge the visitor. The current Cathy Wilkes visiting exhibition is bleak and baffling. I confess I left pondering how the pieces which span 11 years fitted together, though the large exhibition space worked really well. The permanent audio... More
