The most picturesque

The most picturesque part of town - with lots of restaurant, shops, tourist office.... Kind of crossroads which you came by wherever you go....

You can't visit a european city and not see its centre! Quintessential european town square look. always appealing to my eyes. branches off into many lanes you can happily get lost in...I found myself in the middle of a huge wine festival on one of the days...no complaints! very very pretty city Linz!

This is a beautiful square in a history city, and it presents a number of photo opportunities. During our recent trip to Linz, we made a couple of visits to this square.

Can recommend to visit this main square, especially during Christmas markets. You can get in small turistic train throught the city or take a tram to viewpoint over the city Linz.

Reading some of the (more critical) reviews on here I feel rather sorry for the posters, as they have taken a very superficial view of this location. Austria in general has been at the heart of much of european history, and Upper Austria at the heart of that, so you can be sure that whether your interest is in the... More
