Although this museum is still bringing in new contents and we are not into modern art, it seems to make the entrant aware of the changes to the city's advancement throughout the last century and to the present. My advice would be to look it up and find out more about those whose items are exhibited. It is a beautiful building with lifts to all floors.

If you are not an arts fan, you still can viti the bueatiful building itself. Depending on the temporary exhibitions it can be very interesting.

The building on the site of Linz's first railway station has a wonderful exterior and a magnificent staircase but only the second floor is open to the public which after ascending the magnificent staircase to the first floor you reach by side stairs. The second floor consists of a number of black & white or colour photos with no explanations at all. A complete waste of time. There is no lift so the building is completely unsuitable for disabled people. There are drink machines by the cash desk and the toilets have seen better days.
