This rountrip boat ride to Hallstat was included in our combo obb ticket. A short ride hardly 10 mins but with breathtaking views. It can get really crowded on the outer deck. But its manageable. You can buy the ticket before entering the boat,2/3 Euros...More

Best way to approach Hallstatt as you’ll not get a better view from the lake without buying a boat trip. Regular service to and from the train station. If you were on bikes and want a side visit you could park up at the station...More

A memorable scene is arriving by ferry to the town, classic vistas of the landmark Lutheran Church in the centre of the lake front. Returning to the railway station afforded us further opportunities to soak up the glorious panoramas from the lake.

I can recommend the round trip on the lake. The ship was big enough offering a lot of space and possibilities to take pictures. a disappointment were how tables were clean and the offer in the bar. Hot chocolate was a disaster!

Great views from the ferry ride from Hallstatt to the train station on the opposite shore and back again. The ticket office has the schedule - be early as the ferry leaves promptly at the appointed time. We sat on deck until it started to...More

The place is nice, really beautiful but totally overcrowded by tourists especially by Chinese. Thus I recommend to visit it in off season, when only few Chinese are visiting it. Plus: you can park 90 minutes for free!
