I arrived at Wende Hotel on 25th of july 2022 with my wife.A very nice,clean and friendly hotel with a helpful and friendly personnel.A pleasent surprise was the radio in the bath,so you could listen music while taking a shower.Very nice and clean room with a very cosy terrace.
You can do a lot of things there.You can go to the Neusiedl lake ,have a sun bath,swimm,go with Neptune boat visit the lake and so on.
If you want quiet and relax,you can go to the indoor swimming pool and relax in the excellent jacuzzi,relax in the garden,drink a beer or a cocktail(the beer is cheaper- 4,50€ than the water-5,40€ 750ml bottle.)
If you want shopping,there are some nice shops with sales in Neusiedl am See,but at 10 min.with the car,there is Parndorf designer outlet,where you can find a lot of sales(you can take from the hotel a flyer with it,at the guests services in outlet,you get a fashion passport with a reduction of 10% of regular prices at the outlet shops.
If you want to see live history,you can go to Carnuntum to see a roman city rebuild using only roman techniques,it's wonderful! It's a must see!!!
So,in brief,you can do a lot of pleasant things in Neusiedl am See at the Wende hotel!

Lovely place to relax for a while during a busy city trip to Vienna. The lake is about 2hrs from Vienna by train. Peaceful, not too crowded. A couple of food/drink options nearby. Get off at the local station, either a 25 min walk or if you have a bike…10 min ride. Next time I’ll hire a bike! It’s a long walk in the sun, I was burnt by the time I got there! Overall not a bad day (although I suspect won’t be half as good as if I’d made the trek to one of the lakes near Salzburg surrounded by mountains!).

There are only a few beaches around the lake. This is one of those we visited with my son. It was not full, so we had enough space to feel free. There are small pools for small kids to play around, but the water is pretty cold in those. :) Small playground with basic equipment, beautiful green grass. Entrance fee is reasonable.

This is one of the best choice for getting into the Neusiedler See mood.
There are many people walking around, nice coffee places and outdoor restaurants and the lighthouse is spectacular.
The location is well equiped for water sports, such as boating and kite surfing.

We love this place. Nice for a spring walk and taking some really stunning photographs. Amazing views.

Really nice place to drink some beers in the evening and enjoy the sunset. Very relaxed location at the lake.

This beach is very well equipped for water sports, swimming and relaxing, when weather is good for swimming. But there are definitely nicer places around the lake, where you can enjoy its beauty much more.

It is very suitable for having a rest, having a bath and spending free-time with family. You can borrow a small boats and have journeys on the see.
