This is a covered food court in the old market. There are various choices and most are decent value of money. The Italian place specialising in fresh truffles has superb pizzas and the pasta looks first class too. (Although I haven't actually tried anything with truffles there). Real Italian quality. Can get quite lively. Nice to see a bit of ambience and 'life' that doesn't cost the earth. Has become my first stop whenever I land in Monaco off the airport bus.

The Marché de la Condamine is a covered market with restaurants, food stalls and shops where you can dine on the spot, or takeaway. food Quality is just superb and prices are democrartic for Monaco standard. Not a lot of tourists know about this place. We had food at the Italian restaurant where you eat at a counter dishes prepared in front of you. Just superb Pasta with truffles, Pizza as it ought to be, reasonable wine prices, Peroni beer on Draft. PERFECT !!!

The Marche De La Condamine is an interesting option for lunch in Monaco. Something different from the usual stuffy restaurant, with a lot of options for all tastes.
It won't be much cheaper than a restaurant, but at least it offers a different experiences.
Make sure you try the socca!

Monaco is an expensive place. There are very few places where you can buy an affordable meal; all seems aiming at the opulent class. If you are like me, who is just visiting Monaco for a day trip from Nice; going to this market could be the best move for a no so expensive lunch. I went to an Italian shop where they prepare fresh pasta and they have also lasagne. It was wonderful, not only in terms of price and the portions but also for the taste. Beware that this is not a "hidden gem" so expect long lines if you come after 12:30.

This open air market is held daily from 6 AM-2PM, in the Place d'Armes. The stalls sell a variety of regional produce - fruit, vegetables, flowers. There is also an indoor food court behind the open air stalls that sells prepared food. It was interesting to see, but is quite small and it did not take very long to look around.

There are many fruits and vegetables stalls. Inside the building there are many eatery but finding a seat may be a challenge if you are in the big group. If you are not a big eater, it is advisable to share.

We had a private event here last night so I can't tell what it looks like during the day. However, the inside area is a great offering of different types of foods. There was sushi, pasta, beef, cheese, and many more. Quite nice!
