A bit tricky to find, Head below street level and go towards a swimming pool in the marina ..
I pre paid my ticket which cost 10 euros (Sept 2022 prices) adult , Made no difference as it s the same price on the door..
As soon as you enter you can see the immaculate car on show, From very oldies to F1 and Rally cars and cars actually driven by Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly. Look out for the "Fiat Jolly" with a very young Prince Albert , There`s little signs next to the cars telling you what they were in French and English..And watch the films next to some of the racing cars and they will tell you who drove them and what year they won in Monaco ,The place was very posh and the cars themselves were in great condition. I loved the F1 cars, There about 6 of them , one including 2019 Ferrari & A Mercedes at the rear. A excellent museum to visit. There is also a gift shop there..

Very enjoyable 1+ hour with two levels of cars. Very nice bathrooms on both levels. There is an elevator between them. Once you go into the gift shop, at the end, you can not re enter! The gift shop we found to be a bit pricey. Upon exiting the train station & exiting/arriving to “town”, take the underground passage near the artesian ice cream place & covered benches by the hop on/hop off bus stop (you will see the sign). Go towards “the port”(right), not towards “casino”. There you will see a place that looks to be it..no, it is private. With your back to it, there are steps to your right across the street by the port(maybe an elevator too). Go down & you will see it. TA map looked far but it is 5-10 min walk from train station. Very close. I thought the price was very fair@ 8€. They have videos playing over some of the cars to show you the role they had in the movies, famous people or the Monaco Grand Prix over Many years. Mostly signage in French, but a very fair amount amount in English & Italian

We visited Monaco to walk the Formula 1 course and ended with a visit to this brilliant car museum. The air conditioned interior was perfect to cool down after a hot day walking around Monaco. The collection was pristine and kept in a beautifully presented museum. The history behind each of the cars was beautifully presented on touch screens in a variety of languages and the footage accompanying the exhibits brought the whole thing to life. We were especially happy to see so many Monaco Rally and F1 cars and had a really relaxed enjoyable time. Great gift shop reasonably priced at the end of the museum as well.

We actually came to Mona o just so my F1 mad daughter could visit this exhibition! The cars are amazing - my favourite bit was being able to see into the mechanics area and look at the cars being currently restored.
The cars in the collection are quite unusual - the collection is priceless and many of the cars have a significant connection to the monarchy. The human interest stories really bought them to life in a way that many museums would be unable to.

Some 100 antique cars, carriages, motorcycles and formula 1 cars. Entry fee is 8 euros and you can take pictures for free. They have a formula 1 simulator which cost 15 euros for 7 minutes. They even have few Ferrari crashed and compacted in a cube shape art work.

I don't think I can add anything to all previous reviews but maybe a few practical notes. The collection is housed in a building slightly away from the centre of Monaco, not too far from the palace. However, if you are walking around on a hot sunny day, you may find it a bit far to reach, unless you start your day there and get with the bus or car/taxi. I didn't check if there are toilet facilities there, but the length of visit depends on how much you are fascinated by cars - it can be anything between 30 minutes and 2 hours. Interesting to see how many cars have gone through the royal family, probably mostly through the current prince - how the other half lives, eh? There is a small gift shop on your way out but the nice things are quite pricey so I didn't buy anything. All in all - nice to see, especially for some very old cars which are hard to see elsewhere.

We were in town to take the Monaco Grand Prix race track tour and figured we would check out the collection as we arrived early. We are glad we did! It will only take an hour or so to see the collection and costs around 8 euro's but it is definitely worth it. There were race cars from 1900 to present including a very recent red bull F1 car (not to mention many other F1 cars). My wife really isn't much of a car person but she also enjoyed the display. A must see while in Monaco.

After walking around the Car Collection, I was in a daze., after seeing cars that i had on my bedroom wall as youngsters eg Lamborghini Miura plus rare makes . On the ground floor are cars owned by HSH Prince Rainier, and then on the next level are racing and sports cars. Between exhibits are video shows with appropriate background music. My favourite was the Alfa and Ferrari soft tops with background jazz music. The Monaco GP has a montage of winners including our own Dick Dastardly -- Graham Hill. Entrance is only 10 euros !!

We went to Monte Carlo on the train and the collection is just a short walk from the station and easy to find. The collection itself is a mixture of racing cars that have been in the Monaco GP, cars that have taken part in various rallies including the Monte Carlo Rally and the personal collection of HSH Prince Ranier and his family. They are all beautifully restored and maintained (much better condition that many UK museums that I have visited) and together make a fascinating visit which will fill half a day. There is also an amazing collection of motoring artefacts, some of which must be unique to this collection. I f you are interested in cars you will love this!

We spend over an hour in this museum as there were a lot of cars to read about/ take photos of. The place has an upper level which is easily missed, the upper level has a lot of classical cars. They had cars as recent as F1 2019. They also have a f1 experience but we didn't try it.

Being Christmas Day I would say highly unlikely and I would imagine all other tourist attractions would be closed as well. More likely on the other days but I am sure the info would be available on their web site or contact direct.

Taxis weren't much...I'd recommend asking the hotel to arrange to drive the full F1 course and end at the museum if you aren't interested in taking the bus. The hotel can easily assist with bus instructions and get you sorted. It is walkable, not more than a mile. Maybe a bit hilly though. There are lifts around town to get you up in the level you want to be at.
As for time to view, I was done in an hour, and think my husband, a car enthusiast took about twice as long. Think he rushed for me though. He likely would've taken longer if he had gone in his own.

We will be visiting Monte Carlo in early September and I would like to buy the combined ticket for the Palace and the cars before we go but I don't seem to be able to find these online - can anyone help please?

I doubt there are tickets online. I guess you dont even need them as we've been there on 25th July Saturday 1pm and all visitors were 2 families and 4 more adults. We bought tickets and entered within 1 minute.(Adults 6,5€; kids from 8y. 3€)
