If you're visiting Monte Carlo then your trip won't be complete unless you take the time to visit The Casino. Breathtaking surroundings, great for people watching and you can feel the history of the famous winners and losers that have passed through these legendary doors.

Fantastic building, great the watch the elite leave their cars for valet parking. Stunning interior, friendly staff and I even won (a modest amount albeit!)

The Casino building is very beautiful. You can enter the lobby and the jackpot area, but to enter the main casino you should put some deposit. I just take a picture and enjoy the lobby. Outside the casino, there is restaurant and shops.

You cannot be in Monte-Carlo and not visit this magnificent Casino. You feel it’s history in the walls. Even if you don’t play, it is worth a visit.

This glitzy casino is a must visit in Monaco, even if you’re not much of a gambler. If anything at all, it’s a great spot for a selfie!

Was here several years ago and came away seriously underwhelmed by the shabby roulette wheels and the overall dullness of the place. Brought friends here this year who had to check it off their list. Now there's a tacky display in the lobby and an...More

You have to see this place if in Monte Carlo but its not as big and grand as it seems in the movies. Inside is nice but seems dated. Its great for a few pictures on the outside but nothing much more than that.

What a fun way to spend a few hours in fabulous Monaco!! It was my first time playing roulette and the croupier was extremely helpful!! Plus it's always fun to "put on the ritz" and wear a gown and jewels :-)

You don't need to think of spending money when you talk about the casino of monte Carlo. You will certainly pay an entrance fee, around 20€ (and don't forget to bring your passport or identity; so they allow you to enter.) BUT IT'S TOTALLY WORTH...More

Casino of Monte Carlo question please? (5 Replies)
Husband really wants to visit Casino of Monte Carlo . Don't know why. Not one of his favourite pass times. Did same thing in Venice, had to visit Casino of Venice ( came away very disappointed, entrance fee, picture taking and they wanted us to show them our passports) We don't usually carry around our passports, finally let us in but we felt like criminals ( almost) L.O.L. What are the rules for the Monte Carlo Casino? Much the same? Do we need our passports? What is the dress code? Do they...More

Instead of Marineland, why not visit the perched village of Biot? You could also stop at the large glass-blowing factory below the village, watch the glass being produced, and visit the superb Corning International Art Glass Museum. There's a good little restaurant, known mostly to the locals, called the Verrerie--just a few little shops down from the museum.

Casino of Monte Carlo - a few succinct questions! (1 Replies)
1. What’s the earliest time you can visit the casino of a morning - not to gamble - for a nose? I’d like to go at a time when it’s relatively quiet you see. 2. Can I go inside just for a cocktail/coffee? 3. Do I have to email in advance of my pending visit? (Some places require this for security purposes). Cheers!

The earliest visit is at 9am and you do not have to email in advance, but you will have to pay to enter and you must carry photo ID. The price varies from 10 to 17 euros depending on the season and whether or not you take an audio guide. No you can’t just go in for a cocktail or coffee if you mean without paying to enter. Once the gambling tables open, at 2pm, and having paid your entrance fee, you may just have a cocktail rather than gamble, if you prefer. Depending on the day of your...More
