Despite the rain, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Monaco. The whole place lived up to its reputation—beautiful, organized, and classy, just like in the pictures and movies.
I had a blast exploring the area and even took a delightful boat ride!

Main port in Monte Carlo. I was amazed by some of the sailing boats I saw. Beautiful yachts as well. Lovely walking area in the city

Yachts and money abounds but the views over this main port in Monte Carlo are well worth taking in. Pretty amazing in many ways.

They give you real dirty look. The people think themselves better than you. Snobs! Do not come here.

Well worth a stroll around to see the yachts that you can only dream of owning. Stunning views and in the corner there is a Ben and Jerrys for refreshment.

Where we were here (April), there were lots of building works and stands for the Monaco Grand Prix which makes it tricky to get across the harbour and it takes quite a long time due to all the diversions. But it is a beautiful harbour and nice to watch the wonderful boats and fish

You can see so many expensive yachts at Port Hercule.
It is pretty amazing to feel and see that money can buy anything...

This is the port of the rich and famous. Amazing variety of yachts, owners and crews pass through. Right in the heart of Monte Carlo.

As there wasn't much shade we didn't take much of a close look but the harbour is an absolute must for anyone wanting to see how the other half live.
Three storey yachts crammed together, each with their own swimming pools and bars. You can see these from the harbour itself but get up high on a neighbouring road for the cheekiest view over.
They have recently built an underground walkway from the road to the harbour which makes it easier and safer to access.

Best way to get a car to take two cruise passengers to their hotel in Nice. They arrive Sept 12 on Oceania Sirena. They are staying at the Boscolo part of Marriott in a nice on Victor Hugo

You can take a taxi directly to Nice which is about 30 minutes away. It might be pricey though. Alternatively, you can take a taxi to the train station and take the train to Nice. No Uber’s are in Monaco.
