Interesting area and a good nice walk to learn a bit about Andorra beyond just skiing or shopping. Nice enough for a couple of hours

On foot, a 20 minutes walk you can discover the old city. Some buildings to visit. Plenty of small bars, restaurant and small good not expensive hotels, welcome for weekends and in skiing seasons.

After the travel, the photo of the old building and the mountain behind was nice, but when I take the lift to visit the old town of Andorra-la vella, my reaction was: Is that all? There are no more four or five buildings made of stone, just it. When you visit a old town of any city (mostly in Europe) you hope to find a lot of history and architecture between narrow and charming streets. You won't find it in Andorra.

Only old town is interesting for real visitors, other people coming here only for shopping alcohol, perfume and cigao

I fully expected to find a soulless long shopping high street in the heart of Andorra La Vella. They do boast a 'Shopping Mile', but it's actually a very charming place. Pick up a map of the city from the tourist office and follow the river rushing through the city from the Puente de Paris up to the protected Puente de Tosca at the far end. You'll pass an intriguing mix of architecture, both old and modern: the Art House and the Spa are particularly impressive. There are also public art works a plenty.

We only had one afternoon in Andorra La Vella, and since we weren't interested in shopping, we spent most of it wandering around the historic center. There are a number of cute buildings and courtyards, and we enjoyed absorbing the atmosphere. We also visited Casa de la Vall, which was definitely worth the tour price.

Old town of Andorra la Vela is the only bright side of town, everything else is dedicated to shopping and you do not have anything else to see

There’s not much to this area, it’s quite small and only made of a few streets, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants, and the area hasn’t lost any of its old charm. A nice area to explore.

Not a particularly inspiring place but nice enough to sit and have a beer or ice cream (or both) on a hot day.

Among all the modern shopping centers and busy streets there is the historic center of Andorra la Vella, Europe's highest capital city. Though not very extensive it does have some historically important buildings like the old parliament building known as the Casa de la Vall and the Romanesque church of Sant Esteve. There's a certain charm in the cobblestone streets and several small squares that can be found here especially when viewed with the backdrop of the majestic Pyrenees.
There's also a few cafes and shops that might interest visitors. I enjoyed strolling the area both at night and during the day,it makes for a nice contrast against all the modern shops which seem to have taken over most of the city.
