This wonderful steep hike down the valley from Troodos (or up if you start from Platres) is truly wonderful. We did it on a sunny spring day and the temperature was perfect for walking. The Caledonia Falls are worth seeing - whilst not the most impressive waterfalls in the world they are indeed spectacular and the setting of them surrounded... More

We did this very nice hike, it's mostly shaded by the trees so it's not too hot and the trail isn't too hard. It can get muddy but overall we enjoyed it very much and the falls themselves are lovely.

We went on Monday, was a little cloudy but not windy and was a really pleasant hike, nice surprise to see so many locals with their dogs, well maintained trail, lots and lots of photo opportunities, whilst the falls them selves are not the most fantastic I've seen, it was nice & go with the thought of a nice walk,... While the falls themselves are impressive, the height of the experience is the trail itself - relatively strenuous walk inside a forest that crosses the stream from side to side on wooden bridges. An experienced hiker can complete the trail from the road and back in 1.5 hours. As an alternative, you can walk up from the falls and go... More

The Caledonia Falls is a great place for easy walks. We enjoy the way and the Falls themselves. We found 2 of the 3 cats. The female is pregnant. We was very happy to see the trout farm also, but it was closed.

A good strenuous walk up through the woods above Platres. The path is well signposted and the various little bridges across the stream are strong and well maintained. You need good shoes, but the waterfall at the top was charming and it was lovely to sit in the sun watching the cascade for a while before our return.

The falls can be accessed on foot from a Platres and it is possible to continue uphill to Troodo s Square and back again via a circular wal which is well signed and approximately 20k overall. Perhaps not for the faint hearted as there are some reasonably severe ascents but the paths are well maintained and the scenery is great.... More

A steep hike up rough terrain but the path, as it is, is maintained. Theres a bin and a small amount of seating at the top. A lovely waterfall would recommend!

There are two ways to reach the falls, we chose access from the trout farm. There is a path to the left of the trout farm and I would suggest at least 40 minutes each way. They have made a good pathway with sturdy bridges for the many times you have to cross the stream. Good photo opportunities going up... More
