    Great place to visit
Having initially contacted Pafos zoo via email to enquire about opening times (as early in holiday season April 23), I received a reply very swiftly from Simon, the manager who confirmed opening times. We visited the next day and used an online map to drive to the zoo with no problems at all. Paid on entry as it was early season. The entry fee was very reasonable. During our visit, we watched the bird show in a dedicated indoor arena. The staff both spoke English and were very knowledgeable about the birds. The show was very good to watch, included audience participation and interesting facts were provided. Ideal for the whole family. Highlight for me of the visit was being able to feed the Lemurs. Two had babies which was an added bonus. There was a small fee of €5 each person and a small tub of food was provided to feed them (including children) and I was able to take photographs. For me, this was an experience not to be missed. All animals in the zoo appear to be very well cared for. It’s a very pleasant place to walk round with lots of greenery and shade for the animals. Just before we arrived, the zoo had taken delivery of two rhinos and two sun bears. Sun bears were not quite acclimatised so unable to see them but their enclosure looked great. The rhinos had settled and had been out first thing in the morning feeding. There was an elephant and could have a personal experience with, although this was €50. There was also big cats, camels, zebra, birds, such as eagles, pink flamingos, penguins, various monkey species and a large pond with carp and black swans. There’s a small Museum of antiquities from the area which includes historical items such as furniture, clothing, mill stones, cooking equipment. These are all housed in a series of old buildings. Plus a lovely gift shop. There is a lovely restaurant on site providing hot and cold food and beverages plus it was reasonably priced with an amazing view out to sea. The whole site was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Beware! Cash only for nearly everything!
Good zoo, Interesting animals, brilliant Bird show. Although severely let down by "cash only" for most things. For example, to see the lemurs you need to buy food for them which is 5 Euros, but cash only. Shouldn't have to buy food for them anyway just to enter the enclosure and see them, but if you don't have cash with you, then nope - no lemurs for you. Walking round the park, you come to a snack shop for a drink…boom cash only. I find that in the modern world when you’re dealing with tourists and even a stall in the street can use mobile solutions for card payment, making a “cash only” policy for most of your activities is a joke.

    Kids loved it!
There is a very nice collection of birds and animals. The kids particularly loved the bird show. The layout can be a bit tricky, and the map is a bit confusing. I believe it would be better to have one clearly defined path that ensures visitors pass in front of all the animals without missing anything. Even though there is a “start here” sign and each section is marked with a sign indicating the animals in that section, if you reach an intersection, and take a certain route, there’s a possibility you wouldn’t go back to that intersection again and therefore, possibly miss the animals in the other routes that were on the intersection. Apart from that, it was a wonderful experience and the kids loved it and loved learning about the different species. We’ll definitely visit it again in the future!

    Wonderful Day Out
Myself and my girlfriend went in the morning for around opening time and found the zoo to be fairly quiet. Showed our pre paid tickets at front desk and then after heading through the main door we were given a quick guide by the staff on where everything was located and when the animal shows were on. We received our zoo map then headed off to the first exhibit past lots of exotic birds to the lemurs enclosure. We were offered the chance to go into the enclosure with the Lemurs for an extra €5 per person which we obviously took. This in our opinion was the best part of the whole zoo experience! You each get a small cup of food and told to walk into the inner enclosure where you are immediately jumped on by 5 to 6 lemurs. They use you like a climbing frame until all your food is gone then after take it in turns to jump onto you where they sit happily as you stroke them. The zoo it's self is mostly sheltered from the sun so it's a fairly comfortable experience. There are loads of animals including an elephant experience for around €50 for up to 5/8 people where you get to meet and interact with the only African elephant at the zoo. There was plenty stalls and food bits for you to stop at and play parks for the little ones. Only negative is that there is no longer giraffes, I had seen on their social media plenty photos of visitors getting the opportunity to feed the giraffes however this is no longer available. Overall would recommend and definitely worth the money.

    Another great visit
Another visit with family and what a wonderful day. Love the lemurs, ladies who work with them are very helpful. Walked down and saw the sun bears, they didn't stay out last Ng but they are wild animals. Next the lions and tigers, most asleep but then most cats are asleep at that time of the day. Spoke with Jill, she does the elephant experience, she explained why there is only one elephant and how they are looking for another one. It can't be easy and they cannot just get any elephant incase they don't get on, don't want two lone elephants We love our visits to the zoo, always something new to see. Make your own minds up, don't be put off by some reviews, go and have a look and ask questions if you want answers.

    Great zoo
What a great afternoon we had at the zoo. Price getting in was reasonable at €17.50 each. We did pay extra to interact with the elephant (€50 for up to 5 people) and lemurs (€5 each) but worth every penny. The staff were amazing and friendly. All in all a great day out. If you can get to the zoo outside of the scheduled coach times as we did then you miss the crowds. Plenty of free parking. Best day of the holiday.

    Nice Little Zoo
Had a lovely morning at Paphos Zoo and enjoyed seeing the birds and the animals up until the lone elephant which was quite sad to see. He was all alone and looking quite distressed, hitting his trunk against the wire railings. He had been trained to kneel down on one knee so that photos could be taken. They say they are looking for a mate but reviews on here go back as far as 2018 saying how the elephant is alone. The other animals in the park all looked well kept. Spent little less than two hours at the zoo manging to see all animals, the reptile house was a highlight.

Upsetting elephant experience because of lady
Went once before 4 years ago and it was amazing so we decided to come back again but this time round we were disappointed massively with the elephant interaction ran by Lindsey because she rushed the whole thing and had a problem taking pictures with the camera that we wanted and barely got to touch the elephant when before we had alot more time in the enclosure with her and alot more photos and stroking, she also was abit rude towards the end rushing us out. This would of been a lower rating if it wasn't for the lemur interaction the lady running this made it a fantastic experience so grateful for saving the day thankyou so much. They also have many other species that were great to see.

    Fab day
We had a fantastic family day at Pafos zoo. Ticket prices are reasonable, and you can also buy fish food on entry (very cheap). The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We all absolutely loved the bird show. We took our two older sons (8 and 9) in to feed the lemurs, it’s €5 per pot of food. They absolutely loved it, an amazing experience for all. They do jump on you, so be mindful of that. We also did the giraffe experience where we were able to meet Achilles the huge male giraffe. We got to feed and stroke him, and the staff were so lovely and took photos and videos for us, and also gave us lots of info about him. We wanted to do the elephant experience as well, but didn’t have time, as you could only go during certain time slots, and we needed to get back for our coach. The gift shop is really minimal and quite expensive considering how little there is.

Ironic that every year these tigers have cubs they 'orphan' them to be hand raised, which then is coincidently a lovely money earner. After the parrot show they bring out a cub and the audience can pay to stroke it and take photos.
Much the same with the young Asian elephant female who is confined to a life of boredom in a small substandard setting, you too can pay 50 euros to watch her do a trick and have a photo with her.
Nothing about this zoo is in the interest of conservation.
The petting zoo area has guinea pigs suffering skin conditions, and I assume all inbreeding as around 5 sows were pregnant that I could see and one was giving birth as we were there.

Me and my boyfriend travelled to the zoo on September 2022. The zoo has a lot of animals and birds. Most of the staff are English or speak good English. I would recommend you bring some cash as the ATM takes like 4 euro for withdrawals if you wish to interact and feed the animals like lemurs, elephant and giraffes. We have interacted with all of those and it was something we couldn’t do in any other zoo, it was great. The elephant interaction costs 50 euro for a group of 5. We have met other group of people which was happy to do it with us so it worked out cheaper. The bird show took about 25 minutes and we enjoyed it. It is worth going and we would recommend you do it early in the morning to avoid the heat.

I went with a friend on Saturday 31st October and we had an amazing time. The highlight for sure was the lemur enclosure! It’s an extra €5 per person paid at the enclosure and you are given a cup of fruit to give to the lemurs. Once inside the lemurs are very friendly and will jump all over you and there are some cheeky ones that will grab the cup and stick their head in for the fruit! I never knew how soft their little hands were and it’s so worth doing! So much that I want to go back and do it again!

The rest of the zoo is also fantastic and I would give yourself about 2 hours to see everything there. There’s also a cafe and a restaurant if you want to spend more time there and it’s a great way to spend part of your day.

What an amazing day! My family and I got to feed the amazing Giraffe (10€). Karen who looks after him was incredible! She told us all about him and was so kind and friendly she really made our experience! We then fed, stroke and had photographs with the gorgeous elephant (50€) and Karen gave us a lovely talk on the elephant. Then Mohammed, his Mamet, made our experience with the lovely Elephant, calm and so enjoyable. He even stays in a house all year round, day and night next to the elephant’s house. Mohammed walks the elephant around the zoo at 6am every morning five times so she gets enough exercise! We then walked in the lemur enclosure with a cup of food each (5€) and the lemurs jumped all over us! It was such a good experience!
Although, we saw reviews before about some of the enclosures being a little small, after talking to Karen, we realised what a family feel ethos the park has. The animals are so loved and well cared for! Would definitely come back here again!

visited in winter so a few of the enclosures were closed for refurbishment ( the bear enclosure) as were all the tuck shops but the main restaurant was open and served great portions of hearty food for good prices.
the park itself was very nice although a bit of a maze, i did not find the map very useful as lots of the paths werent accurate so just wandered around bymyself without which was still great, although i cant help but think i missed something.
I got a chance to see the bird show which was lovely, you could really see the staff enjoyed themselfs working with the animals and telling you about them.
The zoo did have quite a few places where you could pay extra to a) feed the giraffe from your hand b) meet the elephant up close c) private visit with the lemurs up close as well as various oportunitys to take close up photos with the zoo inhabitants. I think this is a great idea by the zoo to raise extra funds to look after the place and dont see why people complain about it as it wasnt a compulsory thing to do, there was plenty to see and doo without. The extras were just a nice touch to amp up the visit if you wished.

My husband, myself and my 3 year old son visited the zoo during our stay in Pafos. The zoo was very quiet due to the current covid situation and not many people traveling.
They had a great variety of animals that were all able to be seen very closely, and all looked happy and healthy!
The cost to enter I thought was really good value at €34 ish for all 3 of us.
While you are there you can pay extra for animal interactions such as the lemur enclosure (which is a must, it made our day) and giraffe feeding, and holding a parrot or owl.
This is one of the most enjoyable zoos I've been to and would have loved to have stayed longer!

The zoo had an huge variety of animals and when we visited they were looking at expanding their range with white rhinos and Sun bears.
We were thrilled when we discovered that they work with a lot of conservation and breeding programs in place for endangered creatures. The animals all looked very well treated and with keepers being very professional and focused on animal care. The staff were fantastic, often working in difficult conditions in particular, Tash, if I remember correctly, sorry to her if I got that wrong, who worked on the snack bar and was so accommodating and lovely.

Although during our visit a lot of the animals where hiding in the shade/having a snooze-it shows the animals have a comfortable living space-it was a brilliant experience although we unfortunately missed the shows due to us being on a schedual, I would highly recommend it to those who love animals.

I honestly can not believe how amazing this day was! Me and my friend went and spent €35 each that was to feed the giraffe (€10 between two of us) feed the elephant (€50 between two of us) feed the lemurs (€5 each) and watched the bird show which is included in the ticket price. If it wasn’t for Karen who works in the giraffe exhibit, I don’t think I’d of done any of this, I am terrified of everything animal wise that comes near me but I have managed with the help of Karen to conquer a fear! The most surreal day and I would happily do it all over again! The giraffe was so friendly, gentle and loved the interactions with everyone and I have not developed a soft spot an there up there with my fave animals 🦒😍. We also got to stroke one of the zebras! The elephant was also very friendly and even done a few tricks. You can see all animals here have a great relationship with the zoo staff and I have learnt so much just within the space of 3/4 hours being here! Amazing day would highly recommend to go and do these experiences!!🦒🐘🐯🦁🦓

Just a quick review!!

This Zoo is great lots to do for the kids too, enclosures were clean and yes some of the enclosures need to be bigger for certain animals. I would say come to visot theoo as the money is well and truly needed.

Cost 50 euros for x2 adults and x2 children, 10 euros to feed giraffe and 50 euros
to have an experience with the elephants!!

The Giraffe feeding was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The British lady (sorry forgot her name) was fantastic and truly made the feeding experience worth it.

Management need to take a look at the size of some off the enclosures for certain animals like the Lions, Giraffe and elephant!!!!

We went for a Sunday trip to the Zoo. Very well kept and clean, friendly staff- you can see the employees like their job. Some animals you can feed and get close to ( for additional fee). The keepers are turning this experience unforgettable. The Parrot&Owl show is nice and well presented and it is free of charge, It was a surprise the baby Siberian tiger so we had the opportunity to caress it. In general great experience and it is highly recommended.
