The greatest day of my life so far
Oct 2021 • Friends
It was possibly the greatest day of my life!! The tickets were a fair price. The staff were wonderful and the restaurant was good food and fair prices! But what really made the experience was the opportunity to feed the elephants and giraffes!! For a group of 5 it cost 10€ For the giraffe and 50€ for the elephant! That’s 12€ per person! Honestly the most amazing experience that I highly recommend!

Great day trip

A brilliant day trip, with great interactive exhibits. The lemur feeding and parrot show were real highlights, but a special mention to the giraffe feeding as that was particularly special! All the staff were very friendly.

Be prepared to bring cash and change for some of the exhibits (they may take card, but cash made things easier for us)

Average Zoo
Sep 2021
It's not a terrible zoo but we've been to many better ones in the UK and in other European countries.

Overall, the animals seemed happy and well looked after. However, a couple of them looked like they needed more space to roam and more things to entertain them. For example, from what we could see, the lone elephant had no areas to bathe outside and cool off. Also the reptiles and birds cages were far too small and the some of the monkeys looked depressed and again lacking space.

We ate dinner at the zoo as well, it was mainly tasteless and overpriced. The pizza we ordered had very little sauce on it and was 99% cheese and the chicken burger tasted like it had just been done in the microwave. However, the ice cream we had as we were leaving was delicious.

Honestly, it is probably one of the worst zoos we've visited and I wouldn't go again. I hope the conditions of the zoo improve soon for the sake of the animals.

Awful
Sep 2021
We visited the zoo to show our grandchild animals what a mistake.
Cages far to small reptails unable to stretch out monkeys depressed no toys or activities they sat with arms stretched out like they were asking to be saved.
The play area for children was larger then enclouurses.
It made us very sad to see animals kept I such conditions we have travelled to countries which are poorer then cyprus and have visited zoos where animals are kept in enclosures fit for purpose with well fed enrichment for animals,my advice if you are an animal lover DO NOT visit this zoo it's heart breaking.

Disgusting
Sep 2021 • Couples
We arrived at the zoo today 28th September after reading the review we thought it couldn’t of been that bad and man was we wrong ! Every animal looked either dead or totally stressed and depressed , there was no water to be Seen , every animal was either laid out flat or no where to be seen , all the cages looked way too small and totally unkept, the ostrich’s was bald from the stress of them attacking each other and also no room to run , the ostriches was actually pecking at the cage the entire time , we was so upset by the state of the zoo that we left within an hour of being there , we did speak to the gentlemen at the desk and he tried to assure us that he knows there are problem , every animal has food and water but from what we see we find this hard to believe, there was 5 tigers in one cage which was not even big enough for one let alone 5 , the gentleman at the desk said to us that they do breed them and that’s why they had so many tigers in one cage and they was hoping to ship them to other zoo but surely if they know they have an issue with over crowding why continue to breed !

Please don’t go to this zoo , that is the reason we left as we felt we was contributing to the disgusting way the animals was being treated !

The giraffe and elephant was on there own and clearly there to only make money , I was actually looking forward to do the interaction with the elephant but after seeing the way she being kept put me off totally and I just feel that the amazing animals deserve 1000% more

A good day at the zoo
Sep 2021 • Friends
We came to the zoo on the 25th of September and had a great time. The feeding the giraffe experience is maybe the best €10 I've ever spent and very worth it if you like giraffe. The lady doing the giraffe experience was so lovely!!
The elephant experience is also very fun however I do feel a bigger cage is needed for the elephant. After speaking to the keeper we were informed that the elephant walks around the zoo early in the mornings to get some exercise so it made me feel better about it.
The parrot show was incredible and the ladies doing it seemed to really care for their birds.
Overall a great day

Horrible!

Would not recommend visiting this zoo, all of the enclosures are way too small for the animals all of them appeared to be depressed which was distressing to see as an animal lover.

Animal prison.
Sep 2021 • Family
The cages for the animals are far too small the large birds do not have enough room to fly around, the ostriches are so stressed they have plucked most of their feathers out, pretty sure one of the Llamas was dead. None of the animals have anything within their enclosures to stimulate their wellbeing also hardly any of them had water in their cages and if they were lucky enough to have a bowl of water it had clearly been there for days. There was a peacock within a small cage not big enough to fan its feathers. The elephant is simply there for profit as its enclosure was smaller than the picnic area, the other part of its enclosure was cornered off with electric wire which is switched off to allow the tourists in for their €50 photo opportunity. The penguin pool water was filthy. The mandrill monkeys (mom, dad and baby) all looked completely depressed, reaching out of their cage. The tortoises were literally climbing the sides of the cages to get out. The whole experience was horrible for anyone who cares about animals and does not like to see them suffer.

Worth your time to visit but take drinkable water with you!
Aug 2021 • Family
Visited with family; clean surroundings; Excellent selection of animals exhibiting; well trained & polite staff;

The con is that they charge the small bottle of water 1.50€ which I find unacceptable.

Overall we had a great time.

Family day
Aug 2021 • Family
There is a variety of birds and animals. Ideal for families. I would recommend in the summer to go either too early at nine when it opens or after 330 so you can see everything but the sun won't be too hot.
The show with the parrots and the owls is very good, bit I had to translate everything to my kids. The show is in English only.
