Over the years, this headland by the harbourside has gradually been excavated and is still turning up treasures, including most impressively mosaics. It is quite a big site and can be quite exposed, so carry water with you. There is a drinks station, but machines...More

I am not a great history person so the Archaeological Park was a bit of a loss to me, there is hardly any information boards telling you what you are looking at and apart from the House of Dionysus it was wasted on me.

Amazingly well-preserved mosaics, beautiful. Nice place to stroll through ruins. Well kept. Ocean views. Not much shade. Quite a large area. Well worth getting there!

This is Very interesting but it covers a very large area and can get very hot and tiring. The mosaics are fabulous and the restoration is really interesting

Hi Brian The best mosaics are in the House of Dionysus which is in a covered area within the Park, which is a short walk from the entrance. Regards, john
