- iamtripperDroitwich, United Kingdom702 contributionsMore a coastline than a beach...The beach is at the Kato Paphos marina, it's fully constructed and more a coastline, it's not a long sandy beach. There are rocks & rock pools that children would enjoy for a while, there were a couple of spots for water sports as you walk up the coast but when I was there none were running, there are disabled toilets, showers and changing facilities, nice blue sea. There are lots of restaurants, ice cream places and shops at the marina. If you're looking for a day out at a sandy beach though this isn't the place for you.Visited March 2020Written April 27, 2020
- collette dLondon, United Kingdom99 contributionsNice beach with lifeguards on dutySome areas harder to swim in but section in front of the hotels safe and has lifeguard cover. There is no shade so we had to rent beds and umbrellas - 7.50 euros per person for umbrella, beds and safe. Lots of restaurantsVisited October 2022Written October 7, 2022
- Alex C90 contributionsThere are better placesIt's easy to get in the sea here and quite popular. However users should note that at present the changing cubicles, toilets and showers are closed, surrounded by metal barriers, and it is unclear what is being done to them. It may simply be that they are closed because of covid restrictions. There are no alternatives. There are sunloungers and parasols for rent just beyond the changing block, but there are no facilities such as toilets or showers.Visited November 2021Written November 20, 2021

The municipality has spent plenty of money on the beach over the past few years and drove the private cafes and sunbed renters away. Unfortunately maintenance of the toilets doors not match the initial outlay and spoils the cafes. What is worrying is the work ethic of the life guards who you will be hard pushed to spot one watching the actual sea or beach for potential issues. The majority of the day they can all be spotted together behind their towers drinking endless frappes and on occasions shaving their body hair. I would be very worried if a true emergency ever happened at sea here. I assume the council obtained the blue flag for this beach on the proviso that life guards were present. Lovely beach but seriously .....

The beach was dirty and the sand was full of cigarette butts. The man allocating deck chairs when we went was very rude and when I told him I’d booked deckchairs for the next area over (which I wasn’t aware wasn’t the same area) he ignored me and asked me for my money upfront. I’d booked a beach club which was rather classy so something felt off. I went and explored and found the area we were meant to be in. The staff in that area told us the municipality staff do that frequently.
I went back and challenged him as to why he said my reservation was with them and insisted on a refund. He said we’d been there for 3 hours so he wouldn’t refund us even though we’d only been there for 15 minutes. He insisted and even got members of the public involved. He only backed down and gave me my money back when I started to get receipts out proving I was shopping in another part of town 40 minutes earlier.
Very rude staff, very dirty, no space, busy and noisy. Would avoid at all cost when mere meters away there’s a much nicer sun bed area with a far cleaner beach and better access to the water.

Nice area for swimmers providing that you don't need to use the toilet facilities as sadly like all the public toilets in the Paphos Municipality they are a disgrace. How so much money can be spent on asphalt and exercise machines that are never used and the toilet facilities left in their original disgusting state beggars belief. But then if you are unfortunate enough to have to use any of the areas public toilets, Corrallia Beach, Coral Bay main road or Agio Georgios to name a few you will know what I mean. The department responsible within the Council should hang their heads in shame at what they expect visitors to the area to suffer at any time let alone when they are trying to rebuild their tourist numbers.

Don’t spend ur day specially for this place . I visited here and Limassol beach as well both structured beach but here is nothing just waste is time . My hotel is just 2 min away but it’s not for swimming with kids . If u want swim or enjoy sand beach than nearest is coral bay or Lara beach . This is just harbour kind of bay for commercial purposes.

Family day out to this beach. Grandparents, parent and two children - 3 and 8 years old. Safe, clean and partly sandy beach. Lifeguard on duty. Whole family able to frolic in the sea. Welcoming beach Tavernas, perhaps a little pricy. Free parking close to the beach. Highly recommend.

It isn't a beach in the typical sense. If you want to swim in the sea for fitness, then this is perfect. There are a couple of diving platforms, several ladders into the water and areas to sit (and I guess lay out a towel if you want) but its not where you would go for the day. There are better, more traditional beaches further up the coast walk round by the Lighthouse, and even better ones towards Coral Bay.

This is a fully constructed beach, but works well. Lovely blue sea (even in winter). Almost completely deserted. It clearly has all the necessary facilities, tho not all were open. Easy parking. Close to busy Paphos. Clean beach, though with a lot of seaweed, due to recent windy weather,

Pathos beach is a sandy beach a bit shingly with pebbles bit the sea is great, nice and warm and crystal clear, good to swim in, once you get past the pebbles as you enter the water. Plenty of people diving and snorkelling.
Good facilities for visitors like clean toilets and changing rooms, Pathos harbour easily walked to along the new coastal pathway.
Pathos town is a busy place with plenty of night life and plenty of things to do and see, much bigger than Coral Bay.

As somebody who has a holiday villa in Paphos since 2004 and has an in depth knowledge of this part of the Island I can assure you that if your idea of a beach is a sandy strip of soft sand then forget Paphos district.
They are stony, generally unkempt and suitable only for sitting at a Taverna or walking past.
Sorry I am not the bearer of good news.

There is a new walkway through Kato Paphos past the beach. It is small, there are changing rooms. There are toilet/café facilities all along the walk and at this beach. It is worth a walk to the bus station and get the 615 bus to Corealia Beach at €3 return

hi
i saw on the first choice website that your pools are only open until 18:00 - is that right?
thanks
Hello - i have recently booked a double room and twin room. I think these are both in the Hotel rather than apartments. Do these rooms also have kitchenettes?
Thank you
