We enjoyed walking along the promenade, looking in the varied shops, pausing for a drink at one of the bars, and eating our sandwiches on a bench overlooking the harbour. There is so much to see, especially this year as its "city of culture" - we really enjoyed the decorated shirts!

As beaches go it's quite large, easily accessed by car but can be a trek if you're in apartments or hotels that are away from the front. Yes it gets busy at weekends with the locals but it's their beach isn't it, as for sea weed it's only natural. The only downside was the amount of litter and rubbish most... More

One thing is sure : It's a clean seaside. You can hire beds and parasols and there are public showers, dress rooms and toilets. Although I prefer the ones belonging to restaurants and hotels. I recommend swimming shoes because I of the stones and rocks under water. Water is very clean.

It is a municipal beach and as such can be very busy at weekends when locals use it. There are places to hire sunbeds and parasols should you require them. Typical resort beach

This beach is smallish and no facilities when we were there in March. Sands were also covered in dirty dried seaweed, as were much of the beaches along this area.

Everybody recommends Coral Bay but I thought the beaches at Paphos were pretty good. Walk beyond the municipal baths and follow the prom round past the big hotels. Just beyond Alexander the Great Hotel is a beach with toilets and showers. Sun beds and umbrellas on,y €2.50 each.
