My wife and I visited this monastery after finding it by complete chance and what a find! Such a beautiful and peaceful place. It immediately gave us both the feeling of peace and tranquility. Could honestly have spent hours on end here. If you get the chance don't miss this little hidden gem.

We had no idea where we were walking to until we stumbled across this Monastery, we did not go inside but walked around this beautiful building.

We passed this monastery after visiting Chrysoroggiatissa - and it was to us much more impressive and interesting. A lovely place and a very attractive building. Sadly we could not find out how to get inside. From the other reviews this does sometimes happen - I guess the safaris arrange their visits beforehand.

This is beautiful inside you have to cover up your knees and shoulder as a mark of respect either your own clothes or they provide rap rounds or gowns

This was the 2nd stop on our Jeep safari. Good to stretch the legs especially if you were in the back. It is well maintained and quite tranquil.

This is a very peaceful place with the most beautiful flowers in the grounds. A huge car park with everyone parked under trees, which amused us! Free admission and we saw very few other people there, which was lovely! It does close for lunch but the time seems to be a bit variable and depends on if there are visitors.... More

It's on the way for Moni xrisorogitissa and it's a pitty not to stop to relax there have some water and pray. The priest there will tell you some stories for the Monastir and he will show you the places there

This is a 12th century convent about 4 km from Nafplion. The Kanarhos fountain is where supposedly the goddess Hera bathed each year to renew her virginity. NO, you cannot bathe here. Lol

Our tour guide said she had no idea why it was closed the afternoon we went, so we did not go inside. A nice structure from the outside with a "holy water" receptacle outside, for us not worth the trip as was closed. Best to check if it is open before you go for a visit.
