Well enjoyed a great service when using the blue busses in Paphos.
Buses were well maintained, clean, fast, left on time and weren’t too busy/packed. Every journey was only Euros 1.5. Amazing value.
The bus drivers were very patient with tourists over fares, change and when to get off. They could go and teach a thing or two to the bus drivers in Malta!
A positive experience for us. Thank you.

Paphos busses is A COWBOY OPERATION.

I have been in Paphos for 6 weeks now, I find it better to spend the winter time here than in London. I bought a one month pass for Paphos buses on 28 December 2018. on 9 January 2019 buses went on a strike. I lost out 12 days of the use of my bus pass, instead I had to take taxis to go places.

On 21 January, I went to the Harbour bus station to ask for a refund, but the staff at the depot told me that it was not the company policy to give refund. Are the bus company robbers? They are simply robbing pensioners like myself by not giving a refund.

I have posted a registered letter to Ms Vassiliki Anastassiadoou the Minister of Transport in Nicosia and have asked her to look into this. Cyprus is a very beautiful tourist friendly country and I hope what the bus company is doing to the tourists, doesn’t destroy the reputation of this gem of a country.

A word of warning: Please do not buy a bus pass on Paphos busses.

No city bus service in Paphos area!
Jan 2019 • Couples
No buses running since 01/09/2019... Company declared bankruptcy and no new operator has been found. If you were planning on using public transport in Cyprus, choose another city...no Uber, Lyft etc. Taxi's are $$$!

Death trap trip which left us feeling sick..

Oh dear....
Whilst on holiday we used the 615 bus service to get to paphos harbour and coral bay on a few occasions. On one particular journey We were amazed that we got to the destination in one piece. The buses were well maintained and comfortable but on this specific day we had the same driver both ways who clearly had no consideration for the passengers. The bus was full - no room for more passengers but the driver kept letting more passengers on. Most passengers were standing and the driver was driving too fast and braking very sharply. It was difficult to keep balance and we are in our mid 40s , there were passengers a lot older who were struggling to keep upright. The driver was talking on his mobile phone the whole trip! Getting off was a battle as you had to push through all of the people. We were tourists so didn’t have a clue when to get off which added to the stress of the trip. After we got off we felt sick for a short while afterwards! We have scored 2 because the frequency was good and the other drivers for the different day that we travelled were better and more considerate but the same problem with cramming everyone on still occurred. The laws must be different in Cyprus as this would not be allowed in the UK. If you do use this service do so but make sure you take anti sickness pills and wear shoes that grip to the floor of the bus!!! 😣

Cheap transport

Great way to get round and its not expencive, we did have a problem though, one driver did not open the doors at the stop even with ten people standing by the dorr and ringing the bell. He told us to get off at the next stop and walk, many of the passengers wher elderly and the walk would have been to much in the heat of the day. He took us to the terminal and told us to get off and pay again, for the return journey, we refused and he eventually started the return journey, on the journey he called for an in spector who the said he would call the police. What a shambles,

Bus strike.
May 2018 • Solo
Hi im a tourist here.I was going to larnaka and Nicosia but the bus company has gone on strike. No information about when the strike will end.Today is the 2nd of may.I fly home on the 6th.There are a lot of tourists like me lost for ideas.I don't want to drive or take package holiday coach trips everywhere. The hotel is around 3 miles out of town,it's 27 degrees c and on the 2nd day of the strike we are just confused.Ive seen the local sites and want to go further.Sorry the drivers haven't been paid and even sorrier for the locals who can't get around.I've had a great holiday so far but might well end up being spoiltbecause the bus comppany have decided not to pay the drivers.minus one star.

Good public transport

I bought a day pass for 5 euro . I made several trips by bus so it was worthwhile buying the day pass. The drivers were quite nice and all the buses i rode were on time.

Shocking attitude.

We have visited Cyprus fir 5 years and have had some good experiences with the buses however im saderned to say i wont be using again after 2 terrible experiences in 1 day! Terrible service en route. Aggressive, sexist drivers who don't really care about the customer, just about how many tourists they can cram onto a bus and how quick they can can get across a route. Unfriendly, unhelpful and aggressive when boarding. No real care of prams or push chair users. You are literally expected to fall about when other users take seats unchallenged. Stopping is an issue if with a push chair as the drivers let other users off before just setting off without checking you are lifting a pram off. Use a hire car or a taxi if you are travelling. They cost more but are safer. Do not use public transport in Paphos.
