Visited this village as part of a longer coach tour as many do. Yes, we were one of the many clogging up the car park. Have to say, it was a little disappointing. No-body could blame the villagers for trying to cash in on the multitude of tourists visiting but we found it commercialised with the shops mainly selling the... More

Part of different coach tours twice. Good place to find momentos and presses for home. All situated around a church in small cobbled streets.

We went to Omodos based on trip advisor reviews and because we have struggled to find anywhere authentic to walk around and browse for decent gifts. The village is pretty and has good parking facilities just outside. There are plenty of craft and art shops set amongst the vendors selling the usual souvenir tat. There are a plentiful number of... An excellent experience. You can see very clearly the way locals were living a few decades ago. It;s obvious that conquerors and occupiers of the Island had little impact in villages, rather than cities.

It’s not far from Limassol and the heart of winemaking region. There is a variety of restaurants as wells as nice small scenic roads to stroll around and the famous monastery with its museum in the centre of the village. Too touristic now a days with lots of products on sale not even been authentic Cypriot. If you are driving... More

Omodos is one of those strange areas to review. There isn't anything particularly special about it. It just has a lovely ambience. This is due to the old cobbled streets, the narrow paths between buildings, and the many charming gift shops offering local crafts. A lovely little stop for an hour or two if you have been to Troodos Mountains.
