First went to Omodos at the beginning of March when essentially it wasn't yet geared up for visitors. This visit was very different. Lots of little shops, selling quality items were open as were the cafes and restaurants. The monastery is worth a visit and interesting to look around. Certainly worth calling into on your way up to the rest... More

We read about the village beforehand and thought it might be too good to be true. We were wrong, it was better, best day of our holiday. Market was bustling and interesting. Shops wonderful, monastery interesting, local wines and glass ware were great too. Finished off with a kebab in the market place, just brilliant. If you arein the area... More

This permits them to continue to make a salary while living in their homes. Yes, it is worth a visit ! When you visit the village , make sure that you walk to... More

Great few hours there.... but as I found out when I returned there's a lot going on in the afternoon evening in terms of street stalls then in the morning. Church is worth a visit and can get some nice local nibbles.... there's a shop selling custom leather jackets. You have to go 3 days prior and place the order... More

Loved visiting this picturesque village up in the mountains with it's cobbled lanes and stunning church. Good selection of places to eat as well as a park for picnics, local shops selling lace, and beautiful views.
