About
Located in Limassol in a spacious 3000 square meters, you will admire Classic, Historic and Collectible Cars. The "Cyprus Historic and Classic Motor Museum" is a remarkable home for classic cars with highlights of their historical and emotional value. Visitors can admire the museum's eclectic collection of cars covering the period of the last century. The museum highlights the cultural importance of the development and growth of the automobile industry. The oldest car in the collection at the moment is a Ford "T" roadster from 1912, which currently has 102 years of life on the road. The newest vehicle is a collectible piece from 2004. Each visitor can enjoy a different yet memorable experience learning the progress of the vehicles through the passage of time. The founding of the museum is due to the vision of veteran Rally Racing champion of International and Cypriot rally competitions, Mr. Dimi Mavropoulos. He gave his personal collection of historic, classic and collectable cars and launched this museum especially for their display. The Museum features a classic car rental service with a driver. You can enjoy special moments of your life whilst tootling along in an historic and unique classic car. This is an ideal choice for weddings, tours of the city of Limassol or even for those times when you feel like doing something different! In awareness of social responsibility, part of the proceeds from the entrance tickets of the museum will be given to charitable and philanthropic institutions.

Wonderful selection of classic cars. Very interesting museum, very welcoming, beautifully laid out, all cars beautifully restored with full information of the history of all the vehicles. Spotless inside plus interesting small items from years gone buy. Anyone interested in cars should visit.

A labour of love from a devoted petrolhead. An amazing place for car lovers and not only. The quantity and quality of the exhibits are stunning. Well worth a visit even if you will have to abandon the sea and sun for one afternoon

Finally I manage to visit the Car Museum in Limassol.
As an idea is very good as the owner was one of the best rally drivers in Cyprus.
Museum is near to “My Mall” thus is easy to find.
Museum is small but worth to visit once if you like old cars. Owner was near us and ready to explain everything and answer all our questions.
Negative point is the high price ticket compare to what is offering and that you don’t need more than one hour to spend in.

So many things that were they operated by a professional, would make this place amazing... but!
1. It was filthy! There were spider webs all over the sealing, the cars were dusty, but the worst by far was the toilets! I mean you go for an hour's walk around, you end up in the toilets and it is a disgrace! The lock on one of the doors is broken and toilets seem like they haven't been cleaned in weeks.
2. No parking.
3. Awful presentation of some amazing vehicles. Not enough space to walk around, they are placed so close to each other and in no order! I mean, for someone who would like to compare chronologically or by country or by company, will find it incredibly difficult to enjoy the place. Some vehicles there is no description and personally speaking, I am really fond of descriptions. I am not an expert, but I'd love to learn something by going to the "museum".
4. It smelled really bad inside. No air to breath.
5. The place is a container and it is an unorganized chaos that should at least be bigger!
6. The price!!! It is a JOKE!! 13 EUROS FOR ENTRY. WHAT ON EARTH FOR? Not even a leaflet left for the visitor.
7. You cannot touch the cars, you cannot sit inside, if you bring a child, she will not be able to experience a thing, even if she really wants to.
8. The entrance could have been more presentable.
Spent a bit more than an hour inside, because the cars were very beautiful and interesting, but I would plead for the manager to get a proper manager to make this place worth the money!!

This is one of the few times where I would take issue with general advice from Tripadvisor. If this museum had been free, donations only or, say E10, for entry for a family I would have felt very different. As it was we paid E29. The museum is clean and consists of c70 cars and a few old buses and bits of farm machinery. In most cases the exhibits are far from being noteworthy - there were a lot of 1980s BMWs, Ford Sierras etc. Perhaps it is just me but I still see a lot of these on roads in UK and never stop to look at them twice. One of the big draws was one (of the many) green minis used in the filming of Mr Bean - again totally underwhelming. We went as slowly as we could and read every bit of info (even about the Rover 2.14 or the 1980s mini metro) but we were out of there in 45 mins max. There was nothing interactive. Unless you live in a country that does not have roads or cars I would give this a miss and save your money for something genuinely interesting.

Dear GeoffandClare1 Thank you very much for your visit and your time to review Cyprus Historic & Classic Motor Museum on Trip Advisor. Please be assured that we value and appreciate all guest comments and they are take into consideration. It is the very first time we receive such a disappointing review as you can see from other people comments. We are really sorry that you did not enjoy your visit and you did not like any of the 120 car exhibits in our museum covering a period of a century. It is really impressive to ready a full page of history in front of each car in 45 minutes! Usually people that do that spent more than 2 hours. However, we are trying every day to improve ourselves and the museum. Once again, we would like to thank you for your time to give us a review and we look forward to welcome you back again at the Cyprus Motor Museum Kind Regards,

The museum is goo for families, as it is very interesting for nearly all ages. However, the price for a single ticket is 4 times as high as any historical museum. I did enjoy it very much, but pricing should be reduced.
