Kolossi medieval castle is located 14km west of Lemesos and is a fine example of military architecture. The castle was originally constructed in the 13th century by the knights of St John and rebuilt its presence form in the middle of the 15th century after a Genoese attack. The rooftop of the castle offers wonderful views of the surrounding vineyards,... More

As others said before: it's just a very small left over of a castle and the entrance price of 2,50€ per person is ridiculous..! Just to climb on top. If you're in the area, it's okay to have a look around. I Wouldn't recommend taking up a long journey just to see it. Really not worth it.

Visited this place very early in the day and i was the only visitor, lovely peaceful and quiet place steeped in history. Nice views from the top of the castle. Didn't spend much more than an hour here. Well worth a look for €2.50

very hard to reach the top of the castle, because of the old rock stairs, but once you reach the roof, you will be amazed by the view

This castle is small but impressive, very well cared for and the free explanatory leaflet and explanatory boards are excellent. The small complex includes remains of a sugar mill. There is a winery and an attractive church nearby.

This great and enchanting castle is a must visit on your Limassol itinerary. Climb up the steep steps inside or simply soak in the atmosphere.

Good for a short stop, worth a detour. The remains of the castle which was the main base of the Knights Templar on Cyprus includes the sugar refinery which itself is quite impressive.

Another Historical site worth visiting on this beautiful Island in the Mediterranean. You will need a car though in order to visit. Set a quiet village of Kolossi. A nice little caf'e awaits you with refreshments after your tour round or stroll through the village.

Even after living in Cyprus for 4.5 years, I'd never actually made it to Kolossi castle until now. It was one of those places that I always thought I'd get around to seeing but never did. I guess this is partly due to the fact that there isn't very much else to see around the local vicinity so it isn't... More
