We were really looking forward to the trip to Nicosia and the Troodos mountains but each stop was so rushed we barely had time to snap some photos never mind have a look around properly. The guide would not let us cross the border although we had been told to bring our passports for doing just that. He was understandably very bitter about his home being taken from them during the conflict and spent the time at the border in Nicosia telling us all about it and although we were sympathetic regarding this we had paid for a trip which included being able to go and see for ourselves. We went to a couple of lovely villages but again it was so rushed there was no time to really enjoy them and people with walking difficulties either struggled to keep up with his pace or did not attempt to follow him.

Eva our toured guide ,such a amazing women who shared her own life experiences of living in the ghost town before having to flee from her home . Knowledge of every place we stopped at was 2nd to none . George our driver for getting us all there and back and for allowing us to take his photo with our grandsons teddy who has been on his big adventure to Cyprus. Thank you so much both of you for a knowledgeable and some what emotional visit
