- VeraCSouthampton, United Kingdom234 contributionsNothing much to see as a one stop spot, better promoted as a whole hiking trailThis was part of my tour and we had only a little time here. The Bath itself shouldn't really be what you come here for, but if you enjoy hiking and botanical gardens, this might be a great spot. If I had the time and the weather was less heated, I could see it as a great place for hiking and the Bath as my final spot to cool off in the shades.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 11, 2024
- smithySlough, United Kingdom67 contributionsWorth the visit if you're local. Not as big or grand as you might expect. However, if you can get there for 9am before the tours and hotels get there at 10:30am, you'll enjoy this alot. As it's not busy. You'd be able to get on the swing and actually swim around in what is a small pool. When it's busy, it looks a nightmare. But, it's a lovely place, majestic and full of natural beauty. And the water is freezing, which was beautiful. Don't need more than an 60/90 minutes for the visit.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 13, 2024
- ScampinIzzyWhangarei, New Zealand332 contributionsWorth the short walkI have to give it to the Cypriot tourist board; they look free their attractions, and put good money into paths and infrastructure. The car park is always full, be patient and quickly nab a spot when they free up. The walk to the pool is no more than five minutes or so from the gate; take your time as the gradient is mostly up hill, but the track is obvious, well defined and maintained. There are a short number of steps down to the pool, with QR codes on boards when you arrive. The pool stinks, so take your pictures and stand back to admire the water and rock formations.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 22, 2024

This was the most beautiful sea/beach area we visited during our trip - it's a hidden gem and not too busy! It cost €7.50 for 2 comfy sun loungers overlooking the clear waters, right along the sea front.
Would recommend taking snorkelling gear as the waters are so clear and pretty, it was really nice to be able to explore underneath them and see plenty of different fish/coral.
There is a restaurant/bar just up the steps behind the beach which serves drinks / food, both sit in and takeaway to the beach.
Free parking just a short walk from the beach.

We went on the Tui Baths of Aphrodite, Latchi, and Blue Lagoon Cruise tour. The highlight was to be the Blue Lagoon Boat Tour, with the ability to swim and have drinks and nibbles on the boat.
When we arrived at the Baths we were told we had 20mins and then we had to be back at the coach. It took 8mins to walk up to the Baths, which meant we had a total of 4mins at the baths before having to head back.
When we got on the coach for the next part of the tour, we were told that the boat was canceled due to weather. Although I understand that the weather is out of anyone's control, the follow-up service by Tui has been appalling. We missed the boat, the drinks and nibbles, and our trip finished 2 hours before it was meant to and all we have been offered is a 9 euro reimbursement. I have been passed from Person to Person and am entirely unimpressed by Tui's customer service. I would not recommend this tour to anyone.

Although there are some bad reviews of this tourist site, it is a very nice place to visit if you are in the area. The actual bath of Aphrodite is small but it’s cool and tranquil, yes there are a few pigeons but you have to ignore them. The cafe opposite is worth a visit for a cool drink and to take in the wonderful view of the coast.

This whole area is gorgeous. The baths themselves are free and although it won't take you long to walk around (a leisurely hour if you take your time and stop to contemplate) you can't come to Latchi and not visit. The sea is great for snorkelling in. It feels good to swim over to the Rock itself. Sunbathing is dirt cheap. You don't really expect a great beach area but it is tranquil cheap and lovely to look at.

I got the bus from Polis to visit this lovely place. You have the option of walking along the well maintained path directly to the baths (a natural pool fed by a waterfall) or diverting to the left immediately after the entrance and walking around the circular nature trail which I found to be well worthwhile (good shoes required). The baths are great cool oasis on a hot day and there are well maintained paths and steps leading to them. When I visited it was free to enter. I f you feel farly energetic, you can take the nature trail walk back rather than turning back to the entrance. Oh and there ae coffee and delicous ice cream kiosks before the entrance.
I finished my visit off with a visit to the beach (down some steps behind Aphrodite's hotel taverna just down the road) for a refreshing dip followed by a nice inexpensive liunch at the taverna overlooking the beatiful sea.

Visited the Bath of Aphrodite several years ago before health and safety changed the area so it is not so authentic now. Before there was only a pathway with trickling water and stepping stones in front of it and the trees surrounding the waterfall had hanging branches with greenery making it look natural and beautiful.
Didn't see any of the goats but could hear the bells round their necks ringing in the distance.

The Baths of Aphrodite were a long drive from Pathos which frankly wasn’t worth it. The approach walk was nice through a landscaped garden but the bath was a muddy puddle beneath some slimy rocks. Didn’t even take a picture.

Coming from Paphos, we drove to the north of the island to visit the Polis area. Short stopover in Drouseia because I had read an article praising the beauty of this small village... I don't know if it's linked to the season but the village was deserted, the shops were closed and there was clearly no nothing to do. We spent 10 minutes at most going around in circles to check that there was nothing to see...
Then we continued our way along Latsi Beach, a very beautiful beach, then we stopped at the Daphrodite baths. Easy access and free parking at the foot of the botanical garden (and at the foot of the restaurant also called Daphrodite baths). With our 2 and a half year old baby, the tour of the botanical garden was very good. Very pleasant walk with several species of endemic plants and a beautiful viewpoint to admire the birds. At the top of the gardens, a small path leads us to the Daphrodite baths. Small break. Then a staircase at the top of which a 7.5km walk is offered with a difference in altitude of 340m. We would have liked to do it but not possible with our little boy so we returned to the car. However, no regrets because the walk is worth the detour!

9 Euros per adult, 7 for kids. It was full, smelled a bit weird. Nobody bothered with masks while walking around. I can't say anything about swimming there as we didnt go in. The waterfall itself looked nice. Good pictures but all in all, in these times I wouldn't recommend it. If you do go, be sure to wear good shoes. The drive there was definitely an adventure in our rental car. The roads are passable but you dont want oncoming traffic...

Are there taxis available in the afternoon at Baths of Aphrodite tourist pavilion to go back to Polis Chrysoxous? I want to take a taxi not the 622 bus.

Hi, apologies for the delay in responding. We travelled with JAMES VILLA HOLIDAYS from the |UK and stayed near a town called Latchi in VILLA HARMONY. Very nice and spacious villa set in the countryside, but just 5 minutes drive from harbour and restaurants and about 20 minutes from Baths of Aphrodite. We went in March which in hindsight was probably a bit early in the season, plenty of sunny days but not as warm as we would have liked.

Is this place open 24/7, or access to the trail and baths is only during certain time?
Thank you.
Written August 30, 2016
Yes you can get there 24/7 but I wouldn't recommend it. The car park nearby has no barrier and the gate to the baths is only waist high. The first part of the walk there is fine (about 200 yards) but then the path disappears and is dirt track. It can be steep and easy to lose your balance. You won't be able to see anything in the dark either as it has no lighting.
Hope you enjoy your visit:-)
