Would be good if the larnaca council would clean up the horrible rubbish left behind the building on the lake side..You don't see this even in Indonesia!

Lovely minaret while the interior is very simple and historic. The roof consruction and walls can clearly be seen and the lack of ornementation enhance the spiritualityof the space.

Great. Thanks. Do happen to know the approximate bus fares and how long it might take? I want to make this a half-day excursion if possible and head back to Nicosia.

How to get to Hala Sultan Tekke (2 Replies)
Hi, I would like to get to Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque from Larnaca. I used the route planner by cyprus by bus website and came up with 'there is no route'. When i did the opposite search (ie. from Tzami Oum Charam Tekke to finikoudes), i did get a route. Bus 440. Does this bus not go to the mosque from larnaca? I also checked the reverse details for route 440 and it does not state any stop at the mosque. How can i get to the mosque using the bus? No taxi, please, as it would be expensive....More

The mosque is off the main road a good kilometer. I didn't see any buses stop at the mosque itself. I had a taxi hired all day for sixty Euro and that was the last stop I made before going back to the airport.
