Having passed by the castle many times, we decided to finally visit it. The entrance fee was very cheap (less than 3 euros each if I remember correctly), however once inside there is not much to see. To begin with, there is no clear guidance of a circuit so we first started with the first floor. I was a bit surprised that I hadn't yet found somewhere an area telling a bit more about the history of the castle, so I started reading the brochure we were given at the entrance to find out more. The exhibition on the first floor was outdated and with little information translated into English. Next, we did a walk around the castle and climbed up to the roof. The views were great, although we were not very high, it was nice seeing the beach and Foinikoudes from a different perspective. Then, we entered some of the smaller rooms on the ground floor which I'm still not sure what they were about and finally, we visited the gallows room near the entrance (that was where found the information board about the castle's history, so I guess we should have started with that room instead of ending).

Overall, the castle doesn't provide a lot of historical information, but since the entry fee is very low, it good for a quick look around and for enjoying the views.

At the end of finikoudes promenade you will find the very well preserved medieval castle of Larnaca. Low priced entrance ticket but not much to see inside. Some old cannons and few tombstones without any historical info or guide. There is a small 'museum' with various objects without any logic or info support again. The only part you find some is in the area where the castle was used as prison. The view from the walls is breathtaking but it is not accessible if you are not able to climb stairs. The castle has many possibilities since it is in better condition and location from other similar castles around Mediterranean sea

A fair bit of work has been done on the outside of the building very much in keeping with the original. Some nice lights have been fitted into the stonework which creates a nice up light on the building. I don't know if the interior will be open at a later date but until then it's a nice evening stroll along the beachfront

It's an old medieval castle built in the 14th century. A lot has been renovated but it has a small museum, cannon and views across the bay and beaches from the top. Pleasant hour spent wandering. Cheap at 2,50 Euros. Well worth it.

This Medieval castle is right on the water in the middle of Larnaca. There's a 2.5 euro entrance fee which is well worth it. Very young children might like the feel and look of the castle, but our grandchildren (age 10 and above) declined the invitation. We enjoyed the rooms, inscriptions, canons and other weaponry and the museum. But the view from the ramparts out to sea was spectacular.

Originally a Lusignanera caste turned into the small Medieval Museum. Throughout British rule the castle was used as a prison. From the fort you have great views of the city – Finikoudes beach, promenades or Grand Mosque. Entrance fee 2,50 €,

It’s a very small but very historical medieval castle that were used to protect the city in ancient times. The staff working at the castle are very nice, very helpful and happy to give directions and recommendations for restaurants as well. It has a very small museum on the second floor . The castle is a great spot to be able to take pictures of Larnarka’s waterfront as it’s being rebuilt and reconstructed to make it more modern.

Lovely historic place to visit in Larnaca. Great view on the promenade, the sea and the city. Pretty quiet, not too much tourists. The entrance costs couple of euros. Could be great as a activity for families with kids, friends and as a romantic spot for couple pictures. Enjoy!
