Located in northern Cyprus and a lovely place to visit with nice views of Kyrenia. Couple of reasonably priced restaurants serving traditional fare and the usual souvenir shops.

Worth a visit, 9 TL entrance fee. There are some good photo's to be taken around the monastery and some excellent views across Kyrenia. A nice little village with the usual tourist shops, cafe's and bars. Walking shoes needed for this place as there are a few steps involved. Car park at the top is 3 TL.

The monastery is well worth a visit. We were there for a wedding so I didn't get the chance to explore as thoroughly as I'd have liked but the setting and the views were wonderful.

Very nice view and a nice monument to visit. It is around 200mtrs. above Kyrenia what gives you a nice view.

Peaceful and beautiful. You will need a car or taxi though. The views are stunning. It was very windy because of the altitude but great to feel cooler !

Full of history and charm, be carful if you are not too steady on your feet you may want to avoid some of the stairs

Really great place to visit, with wonderful views. You can also take a rest with a cool drink and watch the world go by. If you visit in the evening you can also have a dinner in the nearby resturant

This is only a small abbey but the views from it are fantastic. When we were there they were settlng up for a wedding service, it's obvious why someone would chose the venue. The village setting is great too, so much so that we returned for our evening meal, by which time the abbey was lit up.

This is my favourite place to visit in all of North Cyprus. I could spend all day and every day there. It is so peaceful and attractive with interesting information about the monastery and at times they have exhibitions in the crypt. The restaurant is another favourite of mine and you can sit there overlooking Kyrenia eating excellent food with... More

We arrived early morning and were some of the first visitors of the day. it is in a beautiful setting with views down to Kyrenia and the sea. They have concerts some evenings but unfortunately not while we were there. We also walked up the hill to see Laurence Durrell's house
