A small quaint medieval monastery in the Troodos mountain. It’s free to visit and very pretty to look at. The real jewel though is the lovely wall paintings in the interior which are really stunning. It’s ok to take photos of the exterior but not inside.

visited the church first time few days ago and I impressed a lot!
Very beautiful, unique church under the “umbrella” of UNESCO, worth a visit for sure if you are in the area.

We saw two of these UNESCO painted churches and this was very nice. The art and paintings were great and gave you a great view of the church at that time.

The church is a must-see if you’re in the area. Beautiful frescoes all over the walls and ceiling.
Note that as of March 2018, there are some renovations being done, so the access is a bit limited - but it’s still worth the visit.

This is a beautiful little church, on the UNESCO World Heritage list. It is in an isolated position and visitors must contact the priest to obtain access, via the local coffee shop; do buy a drink there, from the very friendly and helpful owner.

The Church is a mass of murals dating back to the middle ages, with more 17th century murals on the exterior. The floor itself has some unusual tiles, though unfortunately as the priest spoke no English and we spoke no Greek, we were unable to understand why they were there.

WEll worth visiting.

Small but interesting church. Picture of Virgin Mary part covered in plastic to receive kisses of faithful visitors. Intersting tree hung bell.

This is one of the best churches I've even been in Cyprus. It's history goes back to the 11st Century. It's a real blessing place where you should visit and pray at. I really enjoyed my stay at this church , went there many times and I would definitely go there again. It's located inside a monastery which has WONDERFUL views , you can drink water from the mountain . Bottom line , a place where you should visit

We got there just before it closed, and the woman was nice and stayed for a few more minutes as we looked around. Beautiful paintings inside. Recommend.

Unbelievable in a way this is actually a church, but that's the beauty of several of these churches under a UNESCO inscription. It's this that got us to visit and I'm very glad we did. The architecture itself is interesting and unusual and the frescoes inside are vivid and beautiful. Can't believe it's been here since 11th century (with various improvements of course). The entrance to the church is free and there's a large enough car park next to the gate and the guardhouse - the car would be your most convenient way of getting there. The church is open and available in normal visiting hours, someone is always there (as opposed to some other paited churches.)
