This place was much more interesting to my wife since she is the one who would pick out a dining pattern or a special piece to add to our collection. There is a rich history story between the Boch and Villeroy families that started in Luxembourg. The particular style and ability to transfer printing of patterns onto earthenware became known as the Luxembourg style.
The two families merged competing businesses in 1836 and the rest is history.
This store is a great place to shop for ceramics, pottery, porcelain, etc. Most of the manufacturing is now done in Germany so this is more of an outlet store.

We went to the shop as we were in Luxembourg visiting some friends. Basically the shop is in the city and it's less than 10 minutes drive from the center so very easily accessible.

It looks small from the outside but it's pretty big once you go in and see how many things they have. There are a lot of selections from basic to more decor collections to Christmas decorations or for Easter. So plenty to chose from for every taste.

Don't expect 75% off or more as you won't find it. Or at least not when we went. The prices are still high but then again you get quality and you buy thinking that you won't replace your set in the next year or so. So from my side the price is worth it.

Now most of the things are still done in Germany - Mettlach. So because we were returning through Germany we made a stop there. Prices are better, they of course have the same things and nice enough if you register for their newsletter there on spot you get an extra 10%. Which when you are buying a new set for the house trust me it's something.

Overall the shop in Luxembourg is nice and has a great selection but the German one has better prices and it's less than an hour drive from Luxembourg.

The annual factory sale.
Great selection of stuff this year and the items were much more delicate. Last year it all got a bit pottery rather than porcelain. Nice to see some of the older designs like "Naif" available. People end up with cups with no handles so we were able to remake the set

As a man I find the prices a bit high, even with the reductions. I'm a cheapskate used to IKEA

My wife found the staff really helpful, both in the shop and at the checkout.

The coffee was good and the lemon tart recommended

One null part, wife spent 370 euro which is not negligible, and had to pay for a plastic bag to take it away !

Many people told me that the outlet has been moved to Germany but this is not true. It's still there and they have a large variety of recent collections. They even do tax refund, so it's worth the price.

Easy to get to via public transport. A great collection of seeing how some of the factory runs/items are made, discounted items and great cafe as well!

Marvellous choice of high-quality ceramics and glass at a reasonable price. You can find both mass-products and really exclusive things. A good wine shop with local brands is located just next door.

Free parking is a plus. There is a huge selection of beautiful china which is really tempting and of course I could not leave without buying something for myself. The prices are still very high. Personnel is friendly and helpful.

Villeroy & Boch has a calm and isolated setting in the old factory ground. You can shop in the outlet and relax in the beautiful garden.
You can see the painting and and other processes also.

Went to the Villeroy + Boch Factory Outlet in Luxembourg on my way back from Switzerland to the UK. My Daughter asked me to go as she has just moved into a new house and needs china. Firstly it was very easy to find from the main motorway, but the best thing was the value of the items purchased. I can absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting very good quality china , at very reasonable prices. The bonus was that they are open till 6pm....even on a Saturday evening......very good news for my Daughter!!!!

I found the outlet store to be rather expensive. It seemed most things were around 20-30% off their regular prices. I think I could get better prices at home or online.

But it was fun to see all the different patterns and products they manufacture. They do make some beautiful tableware.

It was so easy to take the bus from the city centre and it was a nice ride. Just catch the number 21 bus toward Eich (stop Hamilius right after the turn into Avenue Monterey). The trip is only 15 minutes and you get to see a bit of a real Lux neighborhood. Bus tickets are 2 Euro for two hours (buy from driver or from machine at the stop) and the bus stops right at the front door of the store. You can't miss it and all stops are listed on a screen on the bus so you will know when it is coming up.

I easily made it there and back in under two hours and bought a few little things to bring home. Or take a cab, it is not far.
