The two storey city hall, which is the centre of local government, is neoclassical in style. It serves as the office of the Mayor of Luxembourg City, as well as hosting foreign dignitaries. It is located in the main square in the city center, Place Guillaume II. It is nice from the exterior and worthy of a photo.

The City Hall of Luxemburg is situated in Place Guillaume II (those of you who've been reading my review of the Guillaume II Square - might have notice the joke and the playing with words Hotel de Ville is translated as City Hall and not a genuine hotel like it would be in English) . In front there are 2 bronze lions sort of guarding the entrance on each side of the stairs at the front entrance. Being an administrative building I'm not sure if it is open for visiting - but I guess during the hours that is open for business you can get in and take a look. Since you are in the Guillaume II square it is worth a picture (most likely if you are on guided tour of the city you will learn much more about the history of this building)
