We booked tickets especially for the Christmas concert. I love orchestral music and I've seen the London philharmonic a couple of times. I was expecting a festive version of what I've already seen. I thought the inside of this amazing looking building was pretty basic, but that didn't really matter. What made it so dreary was the volume of the... More

The Philharminie is one the best concert halls in the surroundings of Luxembourg. The yearly Program is of very high level and the concert room is nearly always sold out. Visitors and holders of season tickets come from the countries arounf Luxembourg, especially from Germany.

We've been a number of times - it is a very easy place to get to and park. The staff are very helpful; you can often find last minute tickets at the desk even for 'sold-out' events and they run a series of specialist concert series during the year. Not cheap, but good value for money and much easier than... More

Went there to see the Diana Krall concert on Oct. 12. It was a first for me and I was very impressed by the design of the place, although I am not a lover of modern buildings. What impressed me even more was the quality of the acoustics. Rarely have I experienced such a balanced sound in such a big... More

Audacious rouned form, on Kirchberg (European Center), Place de l'Europe. created by Christian Portzamparc/Paris, provides an outstanding setting for music and artistic events.

Of course, it's all about the music, but Christian de Portzamparc's Philharmonie is a wonderful building even when no-one is playing. The school in which I teach holds its graduation ceremony here each summer; what a setting in which to receive your Baccalaureate. Music lovers should check the Philharmonie website for concerts (hundreds each year), while aficionados of architecture could... More

I am a fan of modern building and the architecture of this building really got my attention. It will definitely make you think about the reason behind this structure and you will enjoy this visit. plus, this part of the city is very modern and I liked it very much.

It was beautiful, you can take a walk around then you will see museum and more. Atmosphere is very nice , you can take sightseeing bus from Kirchberg/Mudam to see city around, it was 12 euros per person and 6 euros for kids.

Great choise, from classical to jazz. Even if traveling to Luxembourg for just one day keep in mind to check on the Philharmonie website to see what's on and hope to be lucky to find some tickets in the evening just before the show. Booking online or by phone very efficient. They also have great programmes for children during the... More
