Even though we were able to see it only from outside, it is such a lovely building, was so glad that we saw it.The shapes of the roofs, are like in a fairy tale castle in Disneyland. Well worth a visit. The outside is so very clean and very beautiful.

The Duke's Grand Palace is open for visiting only in the summer months. So there are quite some people wanting to visit when it is the time. I recommend to buy tickets in advance, especially if you would like an English tour. As we got the last two places on the tour.We booked on the the day of the tour... More

Unless you're lucky enough to be there when you can go inside, it's just nice to take a walk by. The palace is open briefly in the summer, and this year I was lucky enough to get inside. You can easily imagine the Royals entertaining here. The photo history at the beginning of the tour is also interesting. I'd wish... More

We stumbled upon this tour when we visited the information office. It seemed the tour sells out quickly as they have set tours with set languages. The tour itself is 45mins. We have to queue at the start to get bags and coat checked. You cannot take photos inside the palace. The palace is open in the summer period when... More

Located in the middle of Luxembourg , where u can get acquainted with a lot of tourists visiting the palace and the district which is the main district for shopping , eating or even going for a quick beer .. The chocolate house by Nathalie Bonn facing the palace is a must visit place for a really enjoyable chocolate experience... More

In Summer there are visits of the inerior, there are guided visits for approximately 45 minutes; photos and videos is not allowed inside. 1418 it was the Town Hall., next century it was destructed, and recontructed, and 1992 -95 complete transformation of the palace; it has a rich past and art lovers like the very nice facade, a reflection of... Very nice place with a bite of history from charming guide most probably at the age of palace itself ;) It is possible to book a tour in different languages and spend an hour in Duke's residence which is worth spending of 10 euro. Mind a very narrow window when open to visitors - available only for few weeks so... More

Although there isn't really much to do it's a short walk from other city sites so I'd definitely say worth the walk to look at.

You can purchase the tour tickets for tours in various languages, all sold at the tourist information office on Place Guillaume II. The English tour was guided by Rene, who truly adored the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchy's history. This is no Louvre but still interesting and worth the visit, which all the quirky details.

The guide spent a lot of time telling us about the history of this monarchy. The palace was underwhelming as palaces go. The tour was saved by being short and sweet. Definitely not worth the 10 euro price.
