It is the official working place of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. during the day, if you have 2 soldiers, than he is in the palace, if one, he is in the country and if none, he is outside the country.

Worth seeing, not a highlight. Does not take very long to take the tour. Experience probably depends almost entirely on the quality of the guide - ours was friendly and interesting.

Poor soldier had to march up and down the front.Nice place to live and looks well wired and refurbished. Certainly no evidence that there are only three residents there! Much redevelopment in the city centre.

Its no more than an ornate building with a guard marching in front of it. You cant go in, no public access or tours offered. Worthy of a picture as you are walking by.

Suddenly I saw the Palace of the Grand Duke located next to the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The palace was just like in a fairy tale... More

What an impressive place. A credit to the city of Luxembourg. The locals seem very proud and you can see why. Well worth a walk too. Just don't upset the guards!

You can't go inside, so really all you're seeing is another cool building in Luxembourg. There's a guard outside that marches every once in a while, which is also cool, but I wouldn't go out of your way to go see this if it's not already in your path.

Go have a look at the Grand Dukes palais and know right away whether the owner is in or away by noting the guards pacing in front of the door (or not). you might even get a glimpse of the Grand Duke or his family. And don't fail to notice the interesting lights across the palace with the faces that... More
