It's a good museum and you get an idea about Luxembourg city. The only thing they have no seats inside the rooms so after a while you get really tired standing up. No cafe either.

This museum is great! It explains the history of the old town from the legends of Melusina and Sigfried, the foundation of the fortress in 963 and it's evolution till nowadays! It has great maquettes where you can follow the evolution of the defence fortification...More

The museum is under renovation and so the only exhibit open is the football one which tbh is such a crying shame. Hopefully it will be completed soon so people can enjoy it.

I got to visit this museum which is currently undergoing a major renovation. The only exhibit I could see was called "Football Hallelujah" (Soccer) about the obsession with soccer. I'm not really into sports so this was kind of boring for me personally. I could...More

This is a pleasant museum and is included in the Luxembourg card so is worth a visit. Unfortunately, you can not gain access to any of the main exhibits about the city's history for the next six months at the moment due to renovation and...More

This museum has FREE entrance every Thursday from 6:00 pm. Because of this, I was only allowed into 'Football Hallelujah' exhibit (which will be on until March 2017) rather than other permanent exhibitions of the museum. Nonetheless, the exhibition was interesting and interactive and will...More

Nicely presented and well-laid out museum with fun artefacts and lots of different things to see. There's a fairtrade shop at the end with some really lovely things, ended up buying a couple of gifts. All explanations are written in multiple languages including English.

We stumbled on this treat as we explored the old city of Luxembourg. Delightful building very tastefully combining the original stonework of the medieval framework with glass and wood modern additions. Interesting account of the history and development of the city encompassing the sociological aspects...More

This was a great museum in the town centre that gives an accessible and easy to understand history of the city, nation and culture. It's old fashioned-ish, not massively interactive but there is a wealth of information and the staff are friendly and helpful.
