This walk takes you through the historic Caissements and Grund parts of the City, from up on the ramparts down to the valley and river below, linking with all the historic features and landmarks that make this such a unique and visually stunning setting. It is quite well signposted and there are information boards at strategic locations along the route.... More

Go to the tourist information and pickup your free map and information booklet. The walk took us around 4 hours at a fairly leisurely pace for 30-something's, including a 60 minute walk around the casemates and a visit to a popup art exhibition. It's quite hilly with stairs to navigate too. The walk is a fantastic way to see the... More

Great sign-posting and plenty of explanations provided on the panels. Using the brochure (from the Tourist Info) you can easily do it without a guide. It takes you along plenty of interesting places both in the old town and the city centre. It's clear that the city has invested quite a bit, well done!

We have never been to Luxembourg before and chose this walk to discover the city. Weren't disappointed! The circular tour starts at the Bock, the ruins of the old castle, and guides you through the ramparts and the old town crossing the river twice. Signs are showing where to continue and displays give you additional insights. You can even watch... More

Nice walking through the the oldest part of Luxembourg City with so much history. So much to see - beautiful! You must take a walk in this part of town as it will take you back to the medieval age as well as the new.

I found a walking tour called the Wenzel Walk, which directed me from one sight to the next. The tour was 5.5km in length, not sure how many times I went up and down different levels of the city. I think there are 3 layers of walls for defense of the city built at different times in history. Because of... More

The tour can be done without a guide (for free), but will be much more interesting with a guide. You only gave beautiful and pituresque views on the whole path. As anounced by the organisers, the tour is not adapted for buggy's and whealchairs, but that's the only negative point.

Nice walking trail through the oldest foundations of Luxembourg-City Some elevation to be overwon, not for impeded persons.

This is a great opportunity to see a UNESCO world heritage site and costs €15 to have a guided walk. It lasts 2 hours and you buy tickets and meet the guide outside tourist information at 3 pm. The tour goes through the oldest parts of the city and you get excellent photo opportunities. There's lots of walking up stairs... More

Quite a historical and peaceful place however bit tiring though. Unaware of the fact that it would be impossible to complete the walk with stroller (not recommended though) and a kid but somehow we managed to complete it. It is a MUST visit place. Do carry food stuff n drinks as there are places mid-way where one would want to... More
