Cine Sura is a charming and unique entertainment venue, just through the arch and atop the subsequent staircase at 18 Rue de la Montagne. The ticket seller gave a warm greeting, offered the tickets to a British film (English language with French subtitles) at a fair price, and explained the refreshment choices in an informative and efficient manner. It is a smaller operation than many more high-volume cinemas, and so the ticket seller may be available closer to start times, as opposed to around-the-clock. Echternach has a population of fewer than 5000 people, and the fact that this well-run cinema thrives is a testament to Ecternach's status as an excellent vacation destination. The cinema has only one screen, but it is well used, and multiple films are on offer in a given day. If you watch a later film and need a taxi ride afterwards back home or to your hotel, I recommend booking with "Taxis de la Petite Suisse." The name comes from the idea that Echternach is "Luxembourg's Little Switzerland." The area has a picturesque landscape, and the presence of attractions such as Cine Sura serves to enhance the experience for all who visit or live there.…
