Very picturesque. We did not go inside. From afar it looks great. It's nestled amongst thick green forests on a hill, making a stunning picture. Best views are from the chairlift that's opposite.

Lovely town with a lovely castle on top of it. It’s worth it to spend one day visiting the town and its castle. The visit takes about 2h-3h

Fair entree price for a castle that has been renovated providing a staight foreward walking tour that takes around 45 minutes. Viande is beautifully located and an excellent place for scenic walks and other outdoor activities.

It is in the city centre. You will not miss it. I suggest you to drink a nice cup of coffee close to it and walk around. It is nice and relaxing.

Unfortunately, there aren't really grounds or gardens to go through... the interior of the castle is the main attraction.

There is a bus which takes you in to town, there is a short uphill walk to the castle, it’s worth the effort.

From Luxembourg City, take a train to Ettelbruck, and then jump on the 570 bus ( the bus station is next to the train station ). Vianden is the second to last stop on the route - ask the driver if unsure. The whole journey... More
