We did a day trip from Luxembourg city and the photo exhibit itself made it worth while. We were lucky enough to have a guide and really got great explanation of the original exhibit. I see people here saying the photos are dated or asking...More

The exhibition is the original that was shown in 1955 at the prestigious MOMA of New York. The goal of Steichen, who put it on its feet, was to show that wherever they live and regardless of cultural differences, humans worlwide share a common humanity...More

I read about this exhibition and was still hesitating. The friendly lady from the Tourist Office convinced us to do it, and what an experience it was. An emotional rollercoaster over 500 photos telling the human story. From birth to... something. An absolute must do!

The museum houses a splendid collection of black and white photographs from famous agencies (e.g. Magnum and Life) and equally famous photographers. They show 20th century mankind in different stages of life, and in different cultures. A wonderful glimpse into the past. Definitely worth visiting.
