You can start a hike from the parking area at the end of gravel road, next to the pind (google maps it). It takes less than an hour for the hike thete and back. Can be a bit muddy and a oart of it is quite steep (but managable). The reward are excellent views that are hard to beat.

Not many towns are as spectacular as Klaksvik when viewed from a point like. The hike from town is relatively straightforward, or can be shortened if you drive up as far as the road takes you. The views of the Northern Islands and the fjords are pretty breathtaking. One quick warning: it can be pretty windy at the top!

If in your own car, you can drive all the way to where the trail starts - there's a small parking area (all dirt/gravel with no painted lines or anything). Then knock out the hike, which is rather steep the first half, but then fairly flat and level for the second half. Once at the end you are afforded really incredible views of several islands. It's magnificent.

Walked up to here from the cathedral ( unlike the lazy tourists and locals who drive up, park and walk up the last part then pretend they are soooo intrepid.)
The view at the top is an amazing panorama of a number of the island's of north Faroe. They have recently added wooden steps and other path improvements. The return walk from town takes two hours.

Unbelievably spectacular!!! We parked at the first lot & had to walk 45 minutes to the entrance. Several goats decided to take a break from their grass munching to say "hey."
**after the roundabout in town turn left & follow the road that leads up the hill. If you drive to the church you've gone too far. A local actually got in his car & provided a guide to where we should go. Super friendly people!
The hike: from the entrance it's about 1- 1.5 hours to the end. Some of the best panoramics you can get (4 islands including the one you're standing on)! 100 volunteers helped pave the start of the path recently.

This is one of the iconic views that you see when you research the Faroe Islands. We hiked up left of the fence line and went down to the right of the fence line. The view is spectacular. You can see the fjord, a small town, salmon fishing nets. It's a steep climb, but well worth it. the people that were in good shape took about 20 minutes and those that weren't in the best of shape about 35 minutes.

Very nice for a short hike for all. It's free, but guide can be ordered at the tourist information. Good thing to do with a group.
