Gives a nice feel as you enter the city and now we’ll maintained as an open theatre. Sadly nothing was on the time we were there but I suspect it’s a pretty cool place to see people performing. Building itself is quite imposing with the...More

This theatre is an outdoor venue as it has no roof due to bombing during World War 2. It is beautifully lit at night and very atmospheric.

The "bombed" Opera Theater is a WWII remains in Valletta. It is near the Parliament building and currently used as an open air concert theater for holding various activities. Quite a good idea to keep part of the war remains for active use.

I used to work in music so I've attended concerts in hundreds of venues worldwide. This is amongst the best I've visited in terms of acoustics and comfort.

So wonderful that they didn't demolish the whole opera when it was bombed and have left it as a monument. Clever, clever to make it into a living (though ugly) outside theater. But did I miss something????? Why were there no posters, signs, photos etc....More

This is a new modern outdoor theatre stage among old buildings. It is right next to the Parliament building. Although the Parliament building is new it looks great and fits in with the surroundings. The new theatre stage does not.

Enjoy a cappuccino at this cafe, watch the people go by, then a visit to the toilets lets you go under this lovely old theatre. The cappuccino is lovely too.

Contrast the old of this theatre space to the Parliament building next door. Open air theatre and a new restaurant and cafe attached.

The Royal Opera house was one of the most beautiful and iconic buildings in Valletta in 18th and part of 19th century. Destroyed during WWII bombings, the ruins were "redesigned" in 21st century and once again started functioning as a performance venue.

Located very near to the City Gate and The New Parliament, the Pjazza Teatru Rjal is not that impressive. Probably due to the excessive amount of modern steel visible which takes the eye away from the ancient ruins.

Tricky, we couldn`t find out anything before we got to Valletta and you can only buy tickets online or at the ticket office 60 mins before the performance.
