I was looking for a tour to visit the most relevant Jewish historical spots in Malta. The team was very fast to respond and propose a customized half day tour. My guide, Dennis has a lot of knowledge of history, art, religion, and of course Malta. Therefore, the experience was above my expectations!!!

Thank you!

We joined a group of 10 on a shore excursion and INGRID took us around Valetta, the Blue Grotto, Hagar Qim and Mdina. She treated the group delicious patizzi and kimi and took us into the St. John Co-Cathedral where she patiently explained to us the Caravaggio paintings which we thoroughly enjoyed. Ingrid is knowledgeable and passionate and very clear in her explanations. Do not think twice. Book with My Maltese Guide. Ask for Ingrid. You will not regret it.

We had a great day touring with Stephen! We were a group of seven people that not all were interested in seeing the same sights. And I have to say that Steven did a fantastic job at making sure all of us were happy! We had a full day seeing all the sights of Malta, of which Stephen is very knowledgeable about. He knew so much and has such a great sense of humour that kept all of us laughing and enjoying the history and his stories!
We were able to sample some great food, fresh strawberries, local beer and a stop at a winery to sample the local wines! Our entire group felt this was one of the best tours they had been on because Stephen made it fun and it didn't feel like just a standard tour!
Book My Maltese Guide with Stephen, you won't be disappointed!

I'm a bit of a planner and like to do lots of research before parting with my hard-earned money. Our trip to Malta was our first holiday in years, and my partner celebrated his birthday during our visit.

I can't see the point in visiting a hot country and spending the entire time on the beach or at the pool. I like to learn about the country I'm visiting and really get a feel for the place. My party (of 3, including me) all love history and I was looking for something a bit more personal than a general bus tour.

The booking process was really simple - Stephen was quick to respond, even though I booked during his honeymoon! We met in the reception of our hotel at exactly the time arranged. Stephen had kindly provided drinks/snacks which were waiting in the (most comfortable and air-conditioned) Mercedes people-carrier.

Sometimes when you meet new people it can be a bit awkward; not with Stephen. He's a great conversationalist and put everyone at their ease immediately. His knowledge of Malta is exceptional and we found out so much interesting information.

We had loads of photo opportunities during the day. The Blue Grotto is stunning but I think our favourite place was Mdina. The pea pastizzi we had on arrival there was simply divine! These really should be on Great British Bake Off:-)

Stephen also gave us lots of recommendations which we were able to use during the rest of our stay. We visited Valletta again a few days later and saw St John's Co-Cathedral (breathtaking) and St Elmo's fort (brilliant).

As the saying goes, 'you get what you pay for' and this tour is worth every single penny/cent. 100% recommended.

We spent a wonderful day with Stephen Place of MyIrishTours. Stephen knows Malta very well and is incredibly service-oriented. No request is too big or too small, and he goes out of his way to make sure that everything is perfect.

My wife, 17 year old son and I were able to see a lot of the island - rural and urban, old and new. We walked when we wanted, drove when we wanted, set our own schedule, but had great guidance when we needed it.

Malta is beautiful - much greener than I expected, and with many interesting sites. We are spending a few more days here based on suggestions we received from Stephen. I definitely recommend coming to Malta and hiring Stephen as a guide!

Well, you really can't experience everything on Malta in a day of course since the island is so packed with sights, history and things to do. However, with the Malta Loop tour you can certainly cover extensive ground, see many of the top attractions and definitely figure out what you want to come back to if you have more time. Our guide was Miriam and our driver Noel. Both were perfect. Miriam was full of great information and details on everything we saw and tried to make sure we got the most out of our day. She couldn't have done that without her teammate in this adventure, Noel. He was always dropping us off in a perfect place and the pick-ups were easy. You simply cannot see as much as we did without a private guide and driver like this. Sometimes in the past we've had guides who maybe go overboard with history, or the opposite and seem to have little knowledge. What was great about this tour is we had a perfect balance between information, time to explore and some personalization of the itinerary. Highly recommended.

My partner and I visited Malta in September along with my 95-year-old father and his "girlfriend" while we were on a cruise stop. I had visited Malta before and found it beautiful and fascinating and wanted my family to have an amazing experience like I had but I was concerned about covering a lot of ground in one day with the older folks. Stephen was amazing! Very upbeat and charming, provided an exciting itinerary, was conscious of everyone's varying wants and needs, and all the while kept an eye on my very mobile and energetic dad. He made sure we experienced everything and had a blast yet managed to make sure that we were shaded, hydrated, and A/C'd as needed. He never missed a beat!

True to the hallmark of a great tour guide, he really likes people and went above and beyond the call of duty for us. When our ship informed us that "alleged" bad weather in Gozo caused would cause us to remain in Valletta an extra day causing us to cancel our chartered private motor yacht in Gozo, Stephen contacted a fisherman in the north and got the real story that the weather was perfectly fine. He confirmed with the weather service, the yacht operator and arranged private transport to Gozo and back, all while telling charming anecdotes and sipping cappuccino in a cafe in Valletta. Gotta' love this guy! He's worth 6 stars!

Perfect day in Malta. First of all, Ingrid was the best-- super smart, knowledgeable, passionate about history and the Maltese culture, full of life and ready to make sure we got the absolute most out of our day. She was organized, efficient, flexible, totally focused on us (as opposed to other guides who spend time of the phone, just dump you off or cut your time short to get to their next appointment). We saw so much in one day without ever feeling rushed, far more than anyone else on our cruise (we booked privately for a group of 6). Ingrid suggested the itinerary based on the time of year and our interests then off we went. We saw a port with traditional fishing boats, visited ancient ruins and she knew the history in detail, went over to Medina and she showed us beautiful building and vistas one after the other sharing the legends and history, then a little shopping when we asked and a few stops in the main city. She is this small, lovely woman but she's determined and tough never wasting a minute-- she firmly told the guard at the first ancient ruins that he was to wait for us before he started the short 3D film and when he tried to argue with her she just charmed him right into it. I loved that she's so passionate not tired and calling it in like other guides during our trip, and she shared her stories about moving from Estonia and marrying into a male dominated culture. I think a favorite part of the day for everyone is when she took us into this dive local bar and buys us a huge platter of delicious traditional filled savory pastries plus beer and local sodas-- you really got an authentic local feel of Malta. I am so glad we saw this fascinating place through Ingrid's eyes, captured all the history while being outside and moving the whole time rather than stuck in some museum. She is a gem, ask for her, one of the best tours in my entire life. Importantly, with many tours it is simply a driver giving you a bit of info in the car, then dropping you off to fend for yourself. This service came with a wonderful, sweet driver and with Ingrid for the actual tour-- she never left us. The cost was the least expensive of our trip for ten times the service.

Having looked on trip advisor we saw the great reviews Stephen had received. We e-mailed him whilst here and the very same day he got back to us and we were able to plan our trip with just a couple of days notice. The best thing for us was that it was a private tour for just the two of us. Imagine having your best friend know everything about Malta and they take you out for the day to all the places you'd want to see when exploring this amazing country. Well that sums up Stephen's tour. A genuine friendly guy who is passionate about the country and making sure he shows you all the important historical and breath taking beautiful places, once he's had a chat with you to find out any prior knowledge or visits to ensure you see all places you may not have seen before or places you'd like to see again. Frequent stops for photo opportunities and also a chance to absorb the beauty and history that permeates this wonderful Mediterranean gem. A comfortable air conditioned spacious vehicle and the soothing sound of Stephen's voice as he imparts the knowledge he's gained in the years he's been living here. It was such a wonderful experience we've booked another tour with Stephen, this time a day tour of Gozo, before our honeymoon ends. We can't thank Stephen enough for making our honeymoon in Malta a trip to remember.

Our plans to visit Malta arose at the last minute, and we wanted to spend at least one day of our trip seeing as much as possible of this beautiful, historic island. Fortunately for us, we chose Stephen as our guide. He's as knowledgeable as he is personable, as energetic as he is thoughtful. Stephen is the rare guide who recognizes precisely how much information his guests can handle without feeling overloaded, while at the same time remaining ever-ready to answer questions and delve more deeply into a subject or an attraction.

Our private tour with Stephen was an all-day affair, starting at 9:30 a.m. at our hotel (the Westin) and ending around 5:30 p.m. We more than got our money's worth! We made a full tour of the island, including Mdina, the Blue Grotto (with a lovely boat ride, as well), Hagar Qim, the Grand Harbor and too many other places to count. (We visited St. John's Co-Cathedral separately because it was Sunday.) Throughout the day, Stephen was great company for my wife and me, making our visit fun as well as enlightening.
