- Giedre S1 contributionNumber one to see when visiting Malta. It's a first thing you MUST see when you come to Malta! It's a short movie in a small cinema. After this experience it's so clear why Malta is like that. And you can choose whitch objects to visit. All history in very interesting and quick way.Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 13, 2024
- Gary TMachynlleth, United Kingdom6 contributionsDefinitely worth a visitIt took a bit of a hunt but eventually we found it. (We were given instructions to the 2D experience) €10 per adult - and we had the whole place to ourselves. Make sure you sit in the ‘moving chairs’ if you want the full 5D experience. The presentation was excellent & informative - with lovely visuals, sound light air and movement. Worth the €10? I think so. Plus the bonus of toilet facilities!Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 30, 2024
- Geraldine DOulton Broad, United Kingdom17 contributionsHidden treasureNot sure what to expect but really enjoyed the whole experience. 3D film about Malta was very interesting and the seats moving and air blown made it really fun. Only 10 euros to get in so well worth the money.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 8, 2024

Great show, but overpriced in my opinion, 15 minutes of a brief overview of Maltas history, great effects but not worth €9.50, no free drink as advertised as machine not working. No smells or water effects, quite lame.. Very disappointing!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking time to write a review. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the show. I tend to think that you are making false accusations with regards the special effects, however the drink machine is truly switched off.
Kind regards,
Mariella

The movie only lasts maximum 20 minutes. At €10 per person this equites to really bad value for money. The movie itself is fun and interesting, albeit very lacking. The story of Malta in this movie starts in the 1500’s with clear Christian revelry forgetting the multiple cultures and religions that have been dominant here for thousands of years before it. All in all, I would give this a miss and keep your money.

Paid 10 euros for a show that lasted 15 minutes. The “history lesson” it provided of Malta which in reality still has archaeological sites from the neolithic period over 5000 years ago and yet this show made it seem as though the country only started with the Christian knights in the 1500s keeping out the Ottoman Empire. What about the Romans, Greeks, Arabs who were there for centuries prior.
The Maltese language is similar to Arabic and all the traditional houses are all fashioned after the Arab style and yet not one mention to their history. That’s just a shame and pure denial of the rich history and culture of Malta. Save your money and put it towards another place that actually teaches more about the real history.

The show had spectacular effects and was perfect as a very brief introduction to the history of the Maltese islands. I was disappointed that it wasn't longer or more detailed, but the experience was very enjoyable so I can't complain. I kept giggling as my nine year old daughter tried grabbing things heading her way, screaming in fright, and oohing and aahing. This show really brought history to life. We loved every minute.

This was just amazing, the best experience we had during our trip even. Interesting about the history and the 5D works to perfection, bullets, birds and arrows coming out from the screen. Just wow. Our 3 year old sat as glued the whole time. A must for every family.

A great show giving a brief history of Malta through the ages.
Moving seats and special effects.
Very Covid secure. Measures include temperature checks on arrival for all guests, disposable 3D glasses, social distancing and Air filtration systems in the theatre itself.
Friendly staff, would highly recommend to anyone visiting Malta.

We went to book this for later on in our trip, while we were there we visited as there was no Q and the next show was in ten minute. I had been here before and wanted my wife to experience the history of Malta in this short 5D presentation. Well worth the visit and a fun way to experience a nut-shell of Maltese history

What remains of areas like Sliema or San Julien is a jumble of skyscrapers planted on the sea, without the slightest respect for the wonderful, low and typical old houses of Malta. A crane every 10 metres, constructions, constructions and constructions... traffic at a standstill, I can't imagine when all this concrete will be finished and thousands more tourists will come crammed into the hives... But why?? She was so beautiful...
Malta is now good for kids aged 25 or under who want to have fun and who don't care if in a while there won't even be a rock to swim in... Disappointment and also a bit of sadness...

It's not the popular historical film but it's by far the better of the two. It tells the story of Malta in a very visual way with the added effects of moving seats, 3D glasses. It's a fun way of telling the story with such good visual sights. Learned a lot more and saw a lot more scenery then the competition. There's even a free beverage in the lobby while you wait for the show.

Really enjoyed our visit to Malta 5 D, in the current pandemic it’s good to see that they are practicing a good level of safety with all visitors.
The visit will give you a great insight into the history of Valletta and of course Malta and it’s struggles through the years of invasions.
The interactive show really does make it a bit more than just a film show. It’s really worth a visit.

Do I have to purchase a full tour ticket just to watch the movie or can I purchase a movie ticket instead? I cannot seem to find any sites that support only the tickets for the movie. I wont be there long to experience the full tour package hence my question
