A wonderful day spent here. The Big Bus is best way around if you only have the day or Solo traveller. Took both circle tours around the Island. The Bus stops at Mdina Glass Factory worth a look not over priced. Interesting to see the tourist resorts built up around Golden Bay compared to Old town and small villages on... More

Malta, especially La Valetta, is to much extent a natural rock fortress or erected big fortresses. You need a few days to explore them, like the Old Medina or Valetta.

If you have an interest in armour, the Knights Hospitilers, St John Ambulance and it's history or you just like history then this is a must if you are visitingredients Malta. The best way to get to Valetta is possibly by bus, it was for me, and St John's Co-Cathedral where the exhibition is is just a short walk from... More

Walk up the hill a bit and you are there or use the horse taxi/transport for a bit of fun. Good views and photo opportunity. We got really hot walking - take some water or stop at the café nearby.

If history is your thing then this is for you, you can loose yourself in the timelessness of the place.

Very interesting overview of how the Knights were living, what they ate and what they wore. If you like history you'll find this very interesting and informative

Ideal place to take pictures, this is also across the street from the lower barrakka gardens. If you are walking through town it worths a stop. We combined it with the 'Malta Experience' since it was 5 mins walking distance from there.

Valletta is a great place to spend a day or two with endless places ,views and museums to see, especially the view of the grand harbor from the barrakka gardens with cannons firing at noon every day. You can also can go down the high bastions from barrakka gardens with a free standing lift to catch a boat to the... More

St. Francis' church worth a visit as are most of the beautiful churches on the islamd. The tour in a traditional Maltese boat around Valetta harbour was great and you get to see the town from a different angle. The guide, named Pat, was good and very informative.
