For the tourist a must view of grand harbour and if you get timing right the firing of the cannons from the battery . You must also go to upper barracks to get a real feel of grand harbour. Take a boat trip around harbour to finish off view

Access from the waterfront via a towering external elevator costs Euro 1 and is worth the ride. Exit on the landward side and walk straight into Valetta. Well worth the effort to take in an aerial view of Valletta's Great Harbour, which, on a clear, sunny day is sensational. The gardens are well kept and luxuriant. Lots of poignant fading... More

One of many great spots to get out of the sun, chill out, admire views and enjoy an ice cream. Great views of the old port and sea defences. Canon firing at 4:00 pm

The cannon ( only the one cannon although more are situated ready) is set off at 4 pm and well worth a watch. Makes you jump as its loud!!! Fantastic view.

This place is in Valletta.The city of Malta.So there is allot of history to visit. While you can do shopping too. One of my favourite place is the upper Barrakka gardens. Every noon and at 4.00pm there will be the saluting Battery. Some of the history of Malta during the war.And thers is a lovely view of our Harbour. While... More

One of Malta's peak locations. After noon and evening there are a MUST. been there during a wine and food festival. We came a few nights in a row. Highly recommanded!

while walking around in valletta you can many museums and churches and after passing the entrance of valletta you can find after 3 minutes walk on the right before the main street the upper barakka gardens.its nice spot to view the port and vitoriosa on the other side.nice garden area and with a small cafe and many benchs.a great place
