About
This state of the art building is spread over four floors and is not your typical Postal Museum. It offers a run through of Maltese history from the 15th century. The Museum also boasts of two temporary gallery spaces, a large audio-visual room and merchandising store. The temporary gallery spaces currently offer a collection of photographic prints by Richard Ellis, and what is arguably the finest collection of works by Emvin Cremona, regarded by many as one of the best Maltese artists of the 20th century.

Fantastic Experience, Interesting & Unique Visit
Sep 2021
My partner and I came across this gem of a museum on our last trip to Malta. It surpassed our expectations as a postal museum and we had a lovely time there. The lady at the front desk, Shanice I believe, was really friendly and gave us lots of her insight as an artist herself. It's located in an excellent spot in the capital city and wasn't too busy which definitely made the experience better. Would highly recommend it!

noticed the small stamp chair?
Jan 2021
Had a talk at the top floor, we had free wifi for 2hrs, talk was great.
The place had sanitizer on every floor and at the entrance. The girl at the reception was friendly. Looked at the museum as I was going down the stairs, loved the stamps as I'm a stamp collector myself. The small chair under the stairs is a little gem!
I Will defiantly visit again to check everything out! :)

Interesting museum with a very good display of STAMPS right up to the present day. Also has a useful lift as it is spread over 4 floors.

My partners favourite museum
Mar 2020 • Couples
My partner was thrilled to go to the Malta Postal Museum and thought this was the best museum that we visited on the island.

It was interesting and fairly interactive with a lot of history of the island and stamps, lots of stamps

Little Hidden Gen in Valletta
Oct 2019
chanced upon this tinny museum while wondering the lovely streets of Valletta. Walked in expecting to be out in 15 mins but ended spend about 2 hours in there, beautiful black and white pictures that give a glimpse into Maltas History.

Never would have thought that stamp making could have such an impact on a country and the stories that stamps tell about the different phases and social awareness a country go through is incredible. I also enjoyed watching Malta's mail system, uniforms and means of transport evolve over the years. It almost feels like you are a part of it all due to the building's architecture and feel.

This museum also houses some of Malta's involvement in 2nd world war, black and white movies, letters and pictures.

Also, a little surprise when you make your way to the top floor. I recommend this whole heartedly.

Remarkable museum - the stamps are interesting- but there is so much more to seeand learn about!
Feb 2020
The displays are excellent- not only so many lettters from the history of Malta- but also so many excellent audiovisuals- on quarantine, on the hospital role of Malta- and on the curious case of of the Uganda internees from Malta in WW2!
as well as the stamps- also a brilliant exhibition of Guido Stilon's photographs

Spread over three floors of a nice building on a side street it combines displays of Malta stamps over the ages with stories of postal workers and the history of the island. Very enjoyable.
