St Patrick's Church is run by the Salesians. Whenever you go, you may be sure to find a very friendly atmosphere and many different nationalities. In fact, it is the only church in Malta in which services are all in English. The chaplain, Fr Joe Cini, is a very welcoming person, who speaks perfect Italian and French, and even good Arabic. He is extremely active and loves organising beautiful musical events with excellent choirs from all over the world. The Salesian theatre is just across the street and has a very good programme every year. St Patrick's Church is very well known in Sliema: everybody will tell you where to find it.

This lovely church run by the Salesians, is to be found in the quiet sidestreets between Sliema and Balluta Bay. There are about 6 masses on Sunday, all very well attended. This is, to my knowledge, the only Roman Catholic church in Sliema which has its masses said in English

Attended the 6 PM Sunday evening mass in English. There is also a 7PM mass and several on Sunday morning, all in English. The parish is active with a school on site - the church is not large but lovely. The priest gave a very good homily making good references to our daily lives. There was no singing and they did provide a Sunday printed missal for the mass. We were grateful to be able to attend an English mass during our stay on Malta.

Hard to find as the curch is located inside a very large buidling. The clue was that it was located on Triq Don Bosco road. Access to main building via extenal steps. Inside you cross a lobby and ascend some more steps into the church. Lovely quiet, calm and peacefull church. Well worth a visit.

Stayed at AX Palace from December 22-27.
Wanted to attend an English language Midnight Mass and the hotel suggested this church.
We reached there by 11.45pm and the church was already full!
Malta is a highly religious country and hence we were not surprised.
They had a nativity play and then the actual service started at midnight, led by clergy from Malta, Poland and Africa and attended by a congregation of about 800.
It was beautiful and it made our Xmas even more special.
Thank you.

A moment of tranquility in an impressive church.
The space seemed to expand and the time looses it's value.
If you take a seat and try to meditate with closed eyes, you may loose your next tourist planned sites !
But for your soul anyhow it is a huge gain !

July and August there's a quirky and interesting English language mass outdoors 7:30pm Sundays. Other months there's coffee after the 10:15 am Sundays English mass. Recommended

The church can be found inside the building which is home to the Salesian St Patrick's School in Triq Don Bosco. We visited the Church for mass in English this Sunday but the actual ceremony took place in the inner courtyard after a procession dedicated to Our Lady. The church itself is not ornate and is a peaceful place of worship.

The church is hidden in small streets and the space itself is charming. It's worth getting inside because of the beautiful gilding. Typical architectural character for southern countries. I recommend it for architecture lovers

Hello,
is there wheelchair access to this church as I only see steps to the main doors.
thanks
Written October 3, 2015
Good morning.
No, unfortunately there is no access to the church for wheelchairs.
We are thinking of building an elevator that would bring people up from the yard to the church entrance...but we are still at the planning stage. So sorry.
