The diving in Malta was amazing with watercolours. Me and and my friend had 2 amazing dives and our other 3 friends did a discovery dive. Jason was an amazing guide and helped us get the best out of our diving trip!

We booked a last minute dive via the phone and got an amazing experience. The team was super friendly and especially Jason took very good care of us. With a good eye for safety and some good humor we had a safe and fun dive, which was very important to me as it was my first dive ever. He looked at the abilities of each of the clients and adapted the dive accordingly. If we were not limited by a flight back home, we would have definitely gone for another round.

I‘m an AOWD Diver doing my specialties, so I contacted two divecenters in Sliema to find out, if I could do the search & recovery course (and fun dives) with them. Jason, the owner of Watercolours replied right away and with his kind and welcoming self, I chose to come to his divecentre - and I did not regret it at all! Jason is an amazing teacher, he answers all of your questions and he never makes you feel stupid. He‘s very particular in his teaching and takes great care of you! You can really learn a lot from him, he‘s very experienced, friendly and an awesome person to learn from. For my fundives, I went with Enol and Hugo. Starting with Hugo, he’s nice, funny, a very good guide and can give you lots of advice on how to improve your abilities. His communication under water is clear for everyone to understand, and he takes great care of the group… and he will find every single nudi branch around and will show it to you excitedly. :) Enol makes extra sure everyone is safe, he knows a lot about diving, will show you all there is to see under water, communicates clearly and you just know, he’s always around, watching his group. He gives great advice, you can always ask him if you‘re unsure about anything and overall he is a calm, laid back and very friendly person. All three of the instructors i went diving with were extrordinary and I would always recommend to come here if you‘re looking for a well equiped, friendly, welcoming divecenter in Malta. I didn‘t need any rental equipment, but I saw it in the dive base and it‘s all in great shape and well taken care of. Nitrox is available if you need it, and all in all, this is an amazing place. I‘ll certainly come back :)

My partner and I had planned to get our first divers license while on our trip to Malta months ago, yet as it goes, didn’t book a course at a school beforehand. This was luckily not an issue as this wonderful diving centre, which is super easily accessible from anywhere in Sliema, took us in on two days notice! Given that it was my first time diving or even snorkeling, I was a bit apprehensive as the SSI Open Water Diver course is quite an investment, and I didn’t know if I would like diving at all. Our wonderful instructor Alex told us not to worry, if after the first day I realise I don’t like it, I wouldn’t have to pay the whole course, just the day that I did dive. This was a huge relief and we started our course two days later. We got access to the SSI App which provides you with the theory for the course & started to study. We met Alex again fresh and early at 9am and went over the content of the course and got the first few theoretical instructions. Then it was time to hit the pool: The centre has a salt water pool with sea floor, so you feel like you’re in the ocean, without having to actually BE in the ocean for your first lessons, which was amazing and helped me stay calm. My partner had already taken one class prior to our trip, but he really enjoyed the environment as well. Given that the ocean is connected to the pool via tunnels at the bottom, you can still see fish swimming through the coral and shrimp hanging out next to the stairs, so first time divers will not get bored even in the pool! The class consisted of 2 sessions in the pool with basic training as well as some emergency training in the mornings of the first two days. Then in the afternoon we actually went into ocean and got to dive for a little over 50 minutes. I felt safe & secure with Alex at all times. We did emergency training and basically got to apply most of the theory we learned immediately and safely. We also got to see a lot of fish, some crabs, sea urchins and so much more. The water conditions were also very good. The last day we went into the ocean down to 18m in the morning and enjoyed some more safety training. In the afternoon we got to take the test and then went for our last dive, which we got to enjoy without any training breaks. Alex showed us amazing caves and reefs, pointed out the wildlife without ever disturbing it, and Camille went along to take some videos and pictures which we will get access to as well. Overall I have nothing bad to say about this diving centre. Jonah, the owner, was very friendly and even showed us some holiday pictures from the Maldives to give us some inspiration for future dives. Hugo, another instructor, was always happy to answer any questions alongside our instructor Alex, who was just an absolute blast. Everyone was super welcoming, happy to share all of their knowledge, give tips and make a joke! They were all insanely experienced, and have been diving all over the world. When it comes to safety they don’t kid around either, everything is double checked, they correct your form if you don’t dive properly, and explain the dangers to you, if you don’t perform the dive the way you are supposed to. We had an absolutely wonderful experience and cannot recommend this place enough!

Xiexie Jason for arranging the dive at short notice for the Mrs 🇨🇳 (Sissi) "PADI AOW" during our recent vacation on Malta 🇲🇹. Truly enjoyed the conversations with regards to naval wrecks & Royal Navy submarine experiences. Absolutely! Came across as an extremely knowledgeable guy. Total respect. Highly recommended Gordon 🇬🇧 Sissi 🇨🇳
