We were made extremely welcome by the bar staff and the locals.
Prices were local prices and not tourist ones.
We loved the friendly atmosphere and will return next year.
Well done Nappa Bar you were all great ... Thank You x

Lovely little bar, good mix of locals and tourists, cheap too. Only seats about 25 people inside but we enjoyed sitting out, beer is bottles or cans but really cold so lovely.

Spent a week on holidays in Sliema. We were in this pub on 6 different nights. Full of locals speaking Maltese with a few tourists. 2 TVs for sport. Small but friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices and a good place to chill out after a long days sightseeing. This is a locals pub and tourists are welcomed if you are lucky to find it.

This wonderful cozy bar was just round the back of our hotel, so we called in and were made most welcome by the owner and the mix of local and tourist customers. The beers were all bottled, but well chilled and were the cheapest in town. We had many laughs and beers here in Nappa Bar and hopefully will return soon.

Very popular. Located up the slight hill on St. Francis St, 2 mins walk from the Plaza Regency Hotel or 5 mins from the Plough and Anchor, both on Tower Rd, (& TripAdvisor).
One thing you can generally guarantee is that the Nappa will usually be open, usually by 11am.
It's a genuine Maltese run bar mainly frequented by Maltese but as a tourist, you'll always get a friendly welcome from owner Vince & the regulars.
A no airs & graces, working class pub. It's a tiny bar inside, yet they still manage to shoe-horn 2 tv's inside, usually showing 2 different football matches. For its size, the bar's well catered for & if you drink the same as most of the locals, Skol €1.50 for a pint can, then your Euros will go far.
It's great to sit outside on a warm evening on the small terrace & have a chat with the locals, ex-pats & fellow tourists.

This gem of a place was in a side road near our hotel, it would have been rude not to go in,
The bar is small, beer comes in cans, you have to go through the back of the bar to the ladies and then pull the chain flush carefully but it was one of our favourite places to go for a drink.
Room inside is limited and the outside can get packed but if you want to meet with locals this is the place to come. There discussions on where something used to be are animated (you didn't need to speak Maltese to know they disagreed).
Yes there are smarter places, yes there are bars with better views but this is the place for characters.
