Visited the dungeons on day trip to Mdina. Lots of new things added since my last visit. Only takes approx 45 mins to see. May be scary for younger children as graphic tortue scenes. Very interesting

The Mdina Dungeons, located near the entrance of Mdina, is a comprehensive, yet incredibly creepy, museum demonstrating the various types of execution in Mdina. The Dungeons are inexpensive, €5 per adult, and I suggest visiting around 40 minutes. The wax figurines are quite graphic, hence...More

Popped in without great expectations as it was so inexpensive. However, we both enjoyed the history it described, the exhibits themselves and the sort of 'creepy atmosphere' it generated. The scenes/models depicted are quite graphic but you would really expect that from the actual dungeons...More

The dungeons are really informative and interesting and doesn't sugar coat the islands past. There's quite a lot to see and it's very well done, but i did expect one of the figures to jump out at me! Not for children as it doesn't hold...More

The wife was not impressed but I LOVED it. Creepy when you realize that this was a real place, not a fake wax museum. A history buffs must see.

Might not be suitable for young kids. A bit Halloween like... it was worth it for the masks of shame display .

This is right at the entrance of the gate - do not start with it you might get the wrong impression of the Old City or perhaps you would lose the charm ......leave it to the very end just in case you are running late...More

A realistic insight into the past. Very interesting to learn the history of the dungeons. Just a tad gory but not frighteningly so..

Well worth a visit. We enjoyed this place, lots of history. Written cards for you to read in English makes it interesting place. You have to pay a small fee to enter, there are concessions for pensioners & children.
